This aussie PG, known for his smart play and ball handling, coming straight from college is making huge impact for the cavs. His defence is very tenacious and forced beal 3-13 shooting. Watch out for him. He got 28 minutes last night against the wizs, ALREADY a lot of minutes, because of his contagious energy and hustle, which would definitely help cavs lack lustre passion.

I liked how he played alongside Mills in the Olympics. Patty was the undersized SG and he was the bigger point, ha.

My personal opinion is that he won't succeed at the NBA level, but he seems to be impressing Mike Brown with his tenacious defense.

Stick with the Aussies mate. Delly has surprised me.

why he wont succeed??

Inconsistent shooting, slow shooting mechanics, lack of athleticism or speed. Depends on how well he makes use of his high bball iq, passing and defense.

He will succeed as a backup. He effecient, an excellent leader and team player, good with the ball and has shown some good shot selection. OK he's not a good athlete, but then there are plenty of good athlete's who are busts and do not last long.

If he can do that for 20 minutes a night for 82 games, he has a place in this league. However, the kind of foot speed on defense most likely disappears by the early 30's. Most great wing defenders stayed elite because of their length, not speed.

Oh well. First step is earning his place this year by continuing what he did against Beal the rest of the season. One of my favorite college players ever, will watch out for him.

He plays as if his life depends on every possession. Coach Brown been using him in that smaller unit. The Cavs ball movement and spacing is much improved with him in. Kyrie has benefited from Delly setting some screens. He can rebound better than some 6'6 6'7 guys, probably from playing Aussie Rules.

The kids smart as it was pointed out many times next door in the Think Tank. We had our chances to get him.
