the spurs have gotten off to another great start this season. it's only a matter of time before it starts. i don't have a problem with it all to sit duncan or parker out for a game or 2, i just feel it's coming soon.

i meant to say at least 2 or 3 at a time like he did against miami last season. sorry, my bad. i always thought he did this to throw a game when we put on long streaks so we dont get caught up in the espn hype and play like it's game 7 every game of the season.

Now.

Hes already rested Duncan. He'll continue to rest players where he sees his chances.

The Miami game was specifically targeted because it was I believe our 5th game in 7 nights, with Miami having 4-5 days off before matching up against us. We clearly were going to get smoked so he rested 4/5 starters.

I wouldn't be surprised if pop rests 1 or 2 guys on saterday.

Don't think he will do it at home. It's always been more of a road thing when the Spurs are playing back-to-back's and flying everywhere.

28 minutes or less for everyone other than Parker. I'd rather see Belinelli swap minutes with Manu, but other than that the rotations have been ok. Patty will probably see an increase in MPG as the season goes on.

Duncan might get the night off in some b2bs but I don't see more resting right now.

The stretch of games when Pop will likely gives some nights off or at least limited minutes to some players will be in mid December. Spurs will have a crazy 10 days:
December 10: @ Toronto
December 11: @ Milwaukee
December 13: vs. Minnesota
December 14: @ Utah
December 16: @ LA Clippers
December 18: @ Phoenix
December 19: @ Golden State

7 games in 10 days with 3 b2b and a travel between each game. :wow

That is an insane schedule. No wonder the Spurs are trying to rack up the wins early in the season.

I bet tonight is a rest night.

Spurs are always a scary enemy because you never know where their real ceiling is, or their real depth is. Like they may have some poor games preceding the playoffs but they'll make you pay big price in the playoffs if you loosen your nerves on them.

Pop needs to remember who is second in the west right now..and if that team keeps it up, we may face them in the playoffs and if they get the one seed, we'd be carrying a horrible record in their homecourt with us.

Portland = fools gold. 6-0 against the East.

Pop will rest players as the schedule dictates. Injuries will play a factor. I only see 3 or 4 guys in the rest rotation though.

With our bench playing so good pretty much Duncan, Manu, and Tony have not played a lot of minutes so taking a whole game off won't be used as much.

Manu's minutes are actually slightly up from the last two years, tbh.

2011-2012: 23.3
2012-2013: 23.2
2013-2014: 23.7

Timmy's and Tony's minutes are down, though.
