I saw his bailout three when Parker had nothing to do with the ball late in the 4th. That was vintage Manu.

this. bailed him out after hogging the ball. that steal and pass to Belinelli was also vintage.

He definitely feels more in control of his game. Still too many contested 3s (well, when he's not trying to bail Parker out, at least). And a few passes that will make the highlights when the intended player catches them, but still look way too risky to me. But all in all hard to find anything negative to say about his performance last night.

it's just the realistic situation for every 35+ yr old player imho. they can still be brilliant once in a while but you can't expect them to crank out such results consistently like they did in their primes. Too bad the Spurs didn't have no one else to count on last season when shit really mattered, which was why they lost. The 36yr old manu is not a superstar any more, just a solid role player who may shine every now and then but not always.

And maybe even more importantly, Manu seems to have understood this, and come to terms with it. Last year was still a transition year in this regard.

The jury is still out. He still has a tendency to play beyond himself. When the pressure is on he will revert to his old ways and sink us again. That's my prediction. I hope I am wrong.

haha, wouldn't have beat GS without him? what series were you watching? his fukups were the reason we ended up in that position at the end of game 1. it wasn't him containing the beige brothers . that was leonard and green. he had 1 good game in the finals, played like azz the GS series, decent agasint the lakers(we didn't need him really) and 1 good game against the grizz. explain to me how he wasn't shitty in the GS series. i'm all ears. i'll respect your opinion, i just want to know what games he just took over and bailed us out. and if u mention the 3 at the end of game 1, don't forget the 26 footer he shot for no reason as well early into the shotclock.

the mods have access to ip adresses. i post from 2 ip adresses all the time. here at home and at the university. i think it's safe to say i would have been banned long ago if i were either of the guys u think i am. i'm a spurs fan first and foremost just as with my other teams. if someone on my team is playing like shit, i talk about it. as a patriots fan, matt light was one of the worst offensive lineman i've seen the last few years. he was going to eventually get tom brady killed from his slow ass movement and blocking. and don't get me started on my college team. i'm not a fan of 1 person. that's the heat/cavaliers/lebron fan bullshit. i'm a fan of the team. i am a fan of players on the team, but if these players are fuking up, i speak about it. hopefully ginobli will be traded to the bucks so u can become a bucks fan since he can do no wrong in your opinion.

there a two things I love about the fact that Manu is still on this team. first, obviously, I'm happy every time I see him in a Spurs jersey.
the other one is new. the knowledege, that you miserable wretches go ballistic, shit your pants and vent your spleen every time he steps on the court in a Spurs jersey gives me a big smile. and I have a completely new method to deal with Spurs losses. (which doesn't happen often, as you know, thank's also a lot to Manu).
whenever they lose, I think about you crying in your pillow. and I have to smile again.
so, thank you Manu. thank you for all the wonderful moments and thank you even more, that you single-handedly ruin the life of the greatest a**hole wannabe Spurs fans. I'm more and more convinced that the 7 million per is a bargian.
