Kudos to Pop. The Spurs are winning despite his putrid shooting numbers. Let's be honest here: he is downright awful this year. Even Manure and his 44.9% is better. At least det TOSF is still in the top 116 (http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/field-goals/sort/fieldGoalPct/count/81) in FG%. :lmao at me having to search thru 3 pages to find where he stands NBA-wide. Only 13 players shoot worse.

You farmers like stats and shooting percentages so get your Whataburger eating asses in here and :downspin: this shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit I said. :rollin :lmao :rollin

Tim Duncan isn't same as last year, but the Spurs have adapted. Will they be as dominant during the playoffs as last year? Unlikely. Will they make the finals and bow out to the Heat or Pacers? Sans an injury, yes.

The only thing up in the air is if the Spurs will choke away another championship or be destroyed by the opposition.

You are just deflecting. Who cares how much he's getting paid? When you are the undisputed GOAT PF you shouldn't be reduced to 39.6% production. Food for thought: the Mailman's lowest shooting percentage was 45.4% - in his 17th year. Hell, even in his 19th year (more wear and tear, more bumps/bruises due to his style of play, and more minutes played than Duncan), he was still shooting 48.3%. Bottom line: 39.6% is pathetic no matter how much you farmers try to spray Stetson or Brut cologne on his shit sandwich production. :lol

We know Duncan would have given you 22/13/2+ and "guard the yard" - willingly - not grudgingly like Shaq did. That's why Kobestans are stupid and cannot be taken seriously. Has the year gone by already? Is 12 games a full season?

Karl Malone had a twelve game stretch in 2002-03 season (games 9 to 20) where he shot 39.1% from the field. He shot 38.2% from games 13 to 24.

Serious question. I'm just curious as to what you believe is a sample size big enough to start criticizing a player's numbers. If 12 games is not enough, what is? 25 games enough? Half a season or about there with 40 games? 50 games? 75 games? Or does it have to be a full season? If it's a full season and a player only plays 60 games in a season due to injuries and what not, can you not analyze or criticize his numbers?

Because you are asking the wrong question and I am not obliged to answer any question you throw at me. If all of a sudden I am asking why your mom doesn't shave her legs, are you going to answer?

The post I was referring to explicitly compared a 12 game continuous sample of Duncan's game to full seasons of Karl Malone, which is an apples to oranges comparison. I am not exactly sure what you are trying to draw out of that conversation by asking me what is a representative sample when it has absolutely NOTHING to do with my response. In other words, your original question either speak to you not reading the post to which I responded to, or it shows that you have no idea of how sampling works.

There are plenty of sampling best practices out there taking into consideration margin of error and such, but NONE will ever take 12 consecutive sample and call it a representative sample of anything. Unless, of course, the final population is 12 samples.

JHill is out rebounding him, shoots a higher percentage, has more spg, and plays 5 less mpg than him. Tammy has more assists only because his teammates (who are carrying him) are better. Tammy only has 0.8 more bpg 1.5 more ppg than JHill too. Salaries: Tammy $10.3M. JHill $3.5M

Verdict: JHill is the better player. He's a decade younger, makes $7M less, and is producing more. :)

I think I should compare apples to apples here. To further put this shitstain into context, in his 19th and final year in the NBA, Shaq was 503lbs, but he still shot 66.7%. By then he was a massively rotund TOSB, on his 4th team after The Eviction! ring chasing with them Boston Bums in a futile effort of trying to catch Kobe.

Shaq is a big. Tammy is a big. What excuse does anyone 7' have for shooting anything less than 50% tbh? 39.2% is even patheticker than I originally thought. :lol

So me stating comparing a 12 game continuous sample to a full season cannot be taken seriously is not a direct enough answer for you? You read the response wrong and assumed things out of thin air and got called out and I am the weirdo?

I didn't read anything wrong. I didn't assume anything.

All I asked you was what is enough of a sample size to start criticizing a player's numbers. That's it. That's all.

You assumed I was trying to call you out or correct you. I wasn't. It was a simple question. You went into twatmode. That's fine. Forget I asked anything.

Yes, you're the weirdo.

Not worked up son. I'm genuinely perplexed. How can a 7' bigman - who is the people's choice of GOAT PF - shoot < 40%? Makes me wonder. All those years he feasted off of 6'7" PFs and slow footed Centers - playing so well that he is a 1st ballot hall of flamer...Had he played his true position of center all these years, maybe his career turns out differently? He would have had to bang with Shaq for more than just the last 3 minutes of games (because Shaq is less aggressive during that time due to his inability to hit FTs). Now that his feministic athleticism is waning, and Pop is forced to play him (limited minutes) at center, his elite play has dwindled to Kwameesque levels of patheticology (study of pathetic bigmen).

No longer does he command double teams. His jumper is a line drive. Now he'll still make his bank shots, but outside of an open layup or dunk, you guys are now reduced to hoping that he scores. Pathetic! :lol

The last few games his jumper has looked much better, but i think that shot will be the one to completely blow the lid off the basket for him. You could see how pumped he was to see that one fall, hopefully from here on out its last year's Timmy.

On another note, some of his blocks lately have been pretty above the rim for Timmy's standards. That one on Teague was nice, although I'm not quite sure what Teague thought was gonna happen when he put it that close to Duncan

That is a stupid assumption considering his FG% has been trending much higher than it was a week ago. Your thread says "39.5" and now you're crying about how 44.4% is bad.

He will feast on 6'7" PF or scrub centers every now and then (made a HOF career this way tbh), then he'll have a few DNP-OLD games to protect him from playing against players that might give him tit-itis again :lol, or he'll simply refuse to shoot unless it's a gimme layup or an open bank shot. No, based on up to the minute lack of production by the best player in Spur franchise history.

It appears that Cubes is now smarter than Pop.

DeJuan Blair vs. Tammy D H2H:

8.7ppg ---- 13.1ppg
7.6rpg ---- 8.1rpg (basically a wash tbh)
52.8% ---- 44.4%
21.3mpg ---- 27.9mpg
1.5spg ---- 0.4spg
19.42 ---- 18.86 (PER)
$884K ---- $1:lol.3M

DeJuan Blair is tip for tap with TD. Advantage: Cubes tbh. :lol

Like I already said, Duncan's season FG% will be much better by the end of the season and it's already gone up a lot. Game by game is irrelevant, no one always shoots a high % every time unless they do nothing but dunk.
