Ginobili looked fantastic tonight. Near vintage. Those out of nowhere steals and hard drive +ball fake=unorthodox made layups.
Mills played pretty well. He did his job on offense ,at least.
Leonard had an up and down game. His ball handling was awful for most of the second half. Its like if he is being guarded he attempts to go into hurry up and his handles aren't that great and it often ends badly. His defense was very good though.
Splitter had a very good outing and crashed the glass especially in the 1st quarter.

I don't get why we have Ayers out there if he's just a waste of space come March and beyond. He's not just going to get it and start showing offense and his defense looks like shit. I can't believe I'd rather run Bonner out there.

This entire season is pointless if Tim is just gonna be a sourpuss, pouting and shit and being scared to take shots. We can't accomplish anything if he is as mindfucked as he looks. It would be one thing if Timmy was physically incapable. I'd call it one of the most amazing careers of all time in any profession and give up on him, but it looks like he has just given up on himself. He is still quite obviously capable. It's just that the mental is not there for whatever reason.
It's probably because of that bitch, Amy. Hope her lover knocks her up just before she catches him knocking another bitch up.
Can't we find Tim another, younger blond woman to take his mind off things? His struggles are clearly related to neurosis.

I love fellow Spurs fans. Every time we lose to a good team its because we had a bad shooting night or just played sloppy. Maybe its because the Spurs just aren't good enough to beat good athletic teams. Naw, that can't be it.
Come on we go through the same stuff every year. Did anyone honestly think we were getting to the Finals last season this early in the year? We had some shitty losses and people were diving just like always. We may not win the title but we'll make a damn good run at it. Losing any game is frustrating but it's just the way it goes. We'll be pissed many more times this season.

Agreed. No reason to play Ginobili just 25 minutes tonight if we really wanted to win the game. He looked solid in the second half.
I think you took what I said to be the opposite of what I mean. Ginobili coming in for Green is what ended the comeback, not the other way around.

I'm not whining, I'm just speaking some truth. A teams' fan should be able to express how his team is doing poorly. Hell, I'm sure the Utah Jazz forum is "whining" all the time. But they're still fans of their team.
Cause saying the Spurs would lose 4 out of 5 is speaking the truth.

Eh, Splitter seemed like a non factor. Didn't deter any shots.

Idk man, Spurs always look like shit against OKC. No answer for Ibaka. Westbrook went 2-16 and the Thunder still won. Early in the season but I just don't see the Spurs beating the Thunder in the WCF, if the Spurs even make it that far.

Just a loss. Last time I checked we had over 20 of them last year. We'll be fine. We were due for a loss anyway.

if Timmy long mid range game isn't working then he should post up or take it to the rim. those flat bricks are disheartening.

Not with Duncan playing like this. He looks considerably worse compared to last season.

if we are going to play Ayers he better start blocking shots and being a defensive presence, we don't need any offense from him, just interior defense, shot blocking and rebounding. Does that has been we have on the Toro's block shots?
He's slowly but surely improving. We just have to keep giving him minutes and let him figure it out.

They certainly could have, if they kept playing the way they did at Portland.

okc is always a tough matchup against the spurs, god damn ibaka is a beast, spurs gotta be more patient when theyre position to score but a lot of the misses had to do with ibaka, spurs played great defense (damn kawhi) but okc played even better on that end, forcing outside shots and the spurs couldnt make em
good game, parker's carrying this team right now, not sure he can do this all season long + POs
tim duncan is def not playing well but i'll take a slow start and a strong finish at the end of the year, the old td usually gets gassed at the end of the year when he had a great stretch to start the season

His interior game has slowed down some and he wasn't trying to go back to basket this game very much, he'd surrender and pass out. I really wish he'd go back to his bank shot days.

Defense on their big two was great, Jackson had the game of his life, we just have to find an answer for Ibaka on both sides of the floor

Kawhi struggled as he tried to do too much. Tony wasn't impactful enough. Manu looked pretty darn good. Liked Splitter and Belinelli too. But Tim looked like his head was not in the game.

You didn't see how many wide open 3's we missed in the first half? And gimmes at the rim in the 2nd half? We hit even half those shot and we win.

if Pop is the genius we all think he is, he should do something. I don't think Pop's europlayers are the answer inside, he needs an American big man with an SJax type killer attitude.

Thunder are a good team but we should be able to beat them in a 7 game series whether we'd have HC on them or not. Sefolosha on TP is what worries me the most about the matchup but the Blazers scare me more, tbh.

Blazers rely on the jump shot too much. Plus it's November. Injuries are always a worry. Let's wait and see after the all star break where we stand. Doubt blazers can keep this up. But they do look good!

Splitter is all finesse he needs to just perfect the skyhook because there is no aggressive to his game, even wide open dunks are weak

Yes, he had that opportunity for a wide open bunk yet he put the ball on the floor for some odd reason and took a step and was blocked.

He came back when the Spurs were only down four after making their last run. Jackson immediately scored on Manu, although to Ginobili's credit, he did block Jackson the first time on a really nice play. The Spurs missed a shot, Durant got an and-one, and the game was over.

popvich has to learn to match up with the thunder. i'd start diaw to guard him and put duncan on perkins. duncan simply can't guard ibaka on the perimeter and if he leaves him open he drains shots all day. but popovich is a legendary coach and i'm just a fan. he should know this by now from playing them the past 3 season. shit..

Our team was built to beat the Thunder and I have no doubt the Spurs will dispense with them easily in the playoffs. It was a bad night after an 11 game win streak. Nothing more to see here.
