Who should go number 1?
The Gemini Method
11-27-2013, 01:31 PM
Jabari Parker...I'm guessing if its Jax it'll be Teddy Pendergrass. If it's the Falcons it'll be Jadeveon Clowney or Barr.

We have holes all over the field. CB, S, ILB, NT, DE, RT. More problems on D, which I would rather shore up first than whiffing on a QB which will set them back for years. And we got the pick on lockdown son.

I'm wondering what issue we need to address first: Do we go for a receiver or a DB?
I wonder if Justin Blackmon would be a good investment..... Carolina's owner/GM would never be up for it though

Jags will take Bridgewater #1 and texans take Clowney #2.
With that finishing schedule, I think the Jags finish with a better record...Bills and Browns, Houston, Indy, and the Titans vs. the Texans having NE, Denver, Indy, Tennessee, and the aforementioned Jags. So it'll probably be Teddy B. to the Texans and Jadaveon Clowney to the Jags. In my opinion of course.

Yeah. Definitely over Bridgewater as I don't want to reach for a QB. Clowney's problem is his motor, which may be corrected with the right coach.

I want the Texans to take clowney but I have a feeling they will go with bridgewater. The jags getting that 1st pick might be better for houston fans wanting clowney.

imho they trade down, there is too much value in first round picks when there's a strong qb class, not to trade down.

Lving here in central Cali I've seen all of Carr's games this season, he could be the best QB in the draft. He has it all and doesn't make stupid mistakes. His arm is NFL ready. He does have one of the best receiving gangs in all of football which does help. Three of them will be playing on Sundays. Remember this name....Isaiah Burse.

Carr is a class act but.....he does have a gang of great receivers who do bail him out once in awhile. Adams is amazing!

One NFL GM told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that no QB is rising faster than Fresno State senior Derek Carr.
And that is before the Senior Bowl, which is an event that Carr should perform very well in thanks to the lack of pressure he will face. Carr has the arm to hit every throw with touch or velocity, but he is somewhat untested in tight spaces. He reminds us a lot of Jay Cutler. Rapoport added the quarterback even has a chance to be the No. 1 pick.

Not sure if he'll not ask for the moon when his rookie contract is up. I think he's going to command a hefty contract around the $3.5-5million range. The Seahawks are lucky that Wilson isn't due for a new contract to after the '14 season and Sherman' is in 2015...so I'm not sure what the FO is going to do. They've already invested in Harvin and you know how that train is rolling. I see Browner and some other back-up pieces coming off the books (Sidney Rice especially) so it wouldn't surprise me to see him get a raise. He and Wilson are buddies so it remains to be seen if he's going to stay or bolt. I'm guessing it depends on how the season ends for Seattle.
