PHOENIX – The Suns rise, the Trail Blazers get a wakeup call. Again.

One of the best months in Blazers’ history ended on a sour note as Phoenix laid a 120-106 beatdown on them, ending Portland’s 11-game winning streak.

After a decent opening quarter, the Blazers seemed helpless to stop the Suns, who used their array of big men with perimeter skills and the command of point guard Goran Dragic to hand the Blazers (13-3) their first loss since they fell to Houston on Nov. 5

Dragic had 31 points and 10 assists, and former Blazers big man Channing Frye was a model of efficiency, scoring 25 points while shooting 10 for 12 from the field, including 3 for 5 from three-point range.

When Frye or one of the Morris twins wasn’t burning Portland with a three-pointer – the Suns finished 10 for 24 behind the arc – one of the Blazers was missing a block-out as Phoenix finished with 13 offensive rebounds, leading to 26 second-chance points.

On a night when Oklahoma City beat San Antonio, opening the door for Portland to take over the top record in the Western Conference with a win, the Blazers instead gave owner Paul Allen – who was in attendance – reason to wonder why he bothered making the trip.

Using thunderup's logic, Suns should own the Blazers when both teams meet in the playoffs.
