Yahoo made a list of the top 10 dead money contracts (http://sports.yahoo.com/news/top-10-dead-money-deals-120000207--nfl.html)... and the Raiders crack the list 4 times, for a a combined 36.6 million
With the salary cap being at roughly 123 million, the raiders are spending about 30% of their entire cap on 4 guys not on the roster. and that doesn't even include cap hits from cutting Darrius Heyward-Bey and Michael Huff, who just missed the list. All in all, they are spending over 1/3 of their cap on guys not playing.
The one silver lining is that our Al Davis-created cap shitfest we've dealt with for the past 6 years or so should be more or less dead after this season. we will need the room though. our roster is fairly shitty, but our most talented players are set to be free agents (Jared Veldheer, Lamarr Houston most notably).
