Against the Spurs, Portland just ran into a buzz saw. They went from a great matchup to a horrible one, and they were never able to gain their footing. Still, they played hard (they made big runs in most of the blowouts, just couldn't get over the hump) and didn't resort to any dirty tactics throughout the series.

Getting booted out of the playoffs always sucks, but Portland definitely had a season to build on, and that's the best they could've hoped for.
