That draft class sucked outside of Tim Duncan. Why do you think Pitino was on suicide watch when the Celtics didn't win the lottery?

Billups resurrected his career a few years down the line, but he was considered a bust for several years before he learned how to play PG in Minnesota. And T-Mac was out of high school, and back then a lot of teams still didn't like the risk involved with drafting high school players. Bird comparisons were a bit over the top, but KVH was legit coming out of college.

The projected jewels of that draft class after Duncan were supposed to be Ron Mercer and Tim Thomas lol.

Tim Thomas was a very good player that could be a great one if he gave a fuck tbh..

Yeah, he sure did PED with his Lebronesque body back then, but the athleticism & shooting ability were there, too bad he was only about money, not even an ounce about winning.
