I think the only thing worse than getting the #2 pick in the draft and having him turn out to be a bust would be to trade him after 2 years because you think he's going to be a bust and have him turn out to be a star. (jermaine O'neal)

Darko's only 20 and we have him signed for 2 more years , that should be enough time to gauge his future worth.

(no rasho, but thanks)

I think Harrington would make Detroit somewhat tougher. He'd obviously be another useful player, which is a step up from Milicic. He can backup Prince at the 3 and he can slide to the 4 as needed. Wouldn't be a bad pickup for the Pistons, plus his deal expires next summer so if he doesn't work, he's gone.

Still, imagine the Pistons with Carmelo starting at the 3 and Prince backing him up. You know Joe D kicks himself everyday over that pick.

Old. Darko already signed an extension with the Pistons.

I thought Detroit only picked up the option on the remaining 2 years of his contract.

Pistons will not trade him yet they want to see what they have in him. You really can not bash the guy when he did not get an oppurtunity to play the last 2 years. This had to be one of the sticking points with the Pistons and Brown, they want to see what they have in this guy and Brown had no interest in developing him. Saunders is actually the right guy for that he developed KG from when he was just a kid to an MVP. This guy needs to come off the bench next year for about 15-20 min a game every game to start to gauge his potential.

It would be Prince starting and Melo backing him up.
That would be an excellent back-up.

Right, I think that's what Horry for 3 meant by the extension.
