I know he's been having trouble with that calf... any updates? Is this going to be a lingering issue?

I hope not, tbh. His offensive game may be frustrating to watch sometimes but his defense was noticeably missed in the 2nd half.

Some calf strains take long to heal. :/

Tbh if he played the amount of minutes he does against Memphis, Spurs prolly win tonight. Sucks he's hurt.

The Spurs don't play again until Tuesday. Hopefully he'll be ready. We really could have used him tonight since Ayres and Baynes aren't anything special.

Tiago was not the answer tonight. Pafers killed us on the perimeter and then abused us on the inside. Tiago would have been pulled for Bonner to stretch the floor. Without a real big who can score inside and has a jumper the spurs are playing 4 on 5 and when Dunny is in the game it's 3 on 5 offensively.

I thought Tiago played well the 1st half... I think our defense is much improved with him on the floor...

Bonner was involved in basically every breakdown
either his guy had to get doubled in the post
or they pick and rolled him which lead to easy passes for 3 when the guys had to rotate for Bonner

Splitter was actually switched on perimeter guys in the first half and still contested them
he would also do a better job on David Abdul Jabbar

Splitter had the same calf problem in the past. Doesn't this guy do anything to strengthen his calves.

You can count the number of bigs who can do that and play passable D on one hand....

He can't jump too... laziness to work the legs?

I wouldn't mind him being inactive for a few games to see Baynes and Thomas get some time. Provided Ayres was getting DNP-CDs of course. He's just as bad as I thought he was, maybe worse.

Too soft IMO

Sure he plays great D, but every minor niggle limits his PT.
