Kings have expressed interest in getting rid of Jason Thompson and Raptors have expressed interest in getting rid of Kyle Lowry.
Jason Thompson can be a replacement for the failed "Jeff Ayers" experiment that he came in for. However, with 4 years left and $24 mil on his contract, the Spurs definitely most likely will not target this player. I do see potential as a really good rebounder for this team though.
As for Kyle Lowry, he has an expiring contract for $6.2 mil and he can be a really good backup ball handling PG that the Spurs need. I know Patty Mills is playing some good ball at PG, but at the end of the day, he can't handle the ball and still takes Gary Neal-esque shots at times. With a 6.2 mil expiring contract, I think the Spurs can reasonable trade some assets for Kyle Lowry, who can be pretty beneficial for the team. He's also a good rebounder for a PG too.
What do you guys think?
