Has gotten that much worse.

Apparently starting on Monday, youtube will start deleting vids/channels that have copyrighted material.

Basically videos that aren't made by you exclusively will get the axed.

This fucking sucks. Google has completely destroy youtube.

I often use it to watch gameplay of videos games and such. Those will no longer be apparently.

First you cant comment on videos because you need a retarded Google+ account and now they're inacting this stupid shit.

RIP Youtube.

The funny thing is that the companies who's copyrighted material are being used have nothing to do with this latest BS.

That vote system only opens the door for shills and haters. You idiots were warned about YouTube since 2008 that is plenty of time for some offshore computer guru to create MyTube (my original idea) and turn YouTube into MySpace a thing of the past.

I got a warning with this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLOS2zfGVIk

Apparently, they have software routines that compare content. Mine was flagged for the song in the background at 4:13. They gave me a box to explain why I disagreed. I simply said something to the effect it was my recording of the Gran Turismo game I purchased, and the song was in the game.

I guess we will see if this one gets deleted...

I disagree.

There are valid legal concerns that need addressed.

You can find entire movies available, that are also for sell on DVD. Entire songs in high quality audio that the artists are getting royalties for. YouTube can end up being sued or shut down if they don't take proactive efforts to attempt to stop such things.

Some gaming companies have already come forward supporting youtube users telling them that they will fight this and so on.

That article mentions some videos are being flagged because Youtube has enabled something called "Content ID Scanning" and that's why thousands of people are getting all these warnings.

What do you mean "hundreds in the channel"

The fact is if you post your own gameplay of whatever you should be able to keep it because it originated from you.

Its like what the PS4 and Xbox 1 are doing with their "share" feature.

Now I wonder if those guys knew this was coming and was the reason why they didn't put Youtube as an option to upload your content for.

Just because someone defends "sharing" something doesn't mean they support "stealing" something.

The problem with the self righteous people who defend copyrights they are like Evolutionists you can't explain to them any other views but the ones they have tattooed in their minds.

When you steal something "it's gone!" like your lawnmower your bike or your laptop.

When you share something "it's still there" like your music, games, and movies.

there is no law against "sharing" if so my neighbor would have me arrested for "sharing" my lawnmower to the man next door.

The copyrights were to keep someone from "stealing" your idea , song, or artwork. if that wasn't true then when I buy a music CD my neighbors could have me arrested for allowing the people next door to hear the songs.

look up the Fair use act.

Fair use interpretations are unique and limited. Fair use is only one of many limitations, exceptions, and defenses to copyright infringement. For instance, the Audio Home Recording Act establishes that it is legal, using certain technologies, to make copies of audio recordings for non-commercial personal use, fair use applies only to copyrighted works, defining some types of uses of those works as non-infringing; in effect, it limits copyright's scope and describes conditions under which copyrighted material may be used without permission. , fair use does not come into play, since public-domain works can be used for any purpose without violating copyright law.

All the definitions in the world can't hide the fact that your whole ideology here has been concocted to justify your illegal actions. Every 'file sharer' I know spouts this jargon, with no reference made to the fact that they are downloading products created for profit without paying for them. That's stealing.

All the definitions in the world can't hide the fact that your whole ideology here has been concocted to justify your illegal actionse.

It's not "illegal" to download shared data torrents the supreme court has not reached a verdict on it yet your talking about the music industry that can go after you.

And its been in and out of the courts.

The decision by the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reverses a federal judge who slashed the award as “unconstitutionally excessive.” U.S. District Judge Nancy Gertner of Boston reduced the verdict to $67,500, or $2,250 for each of the 30 tracks defendant Joel Tenenbaum unlawfully downloaded and shared on Kazaa, a popular file sharing peer-to-peer service. The Recording Industry Association of America and Tenenbaum both appealed in what has been the nation’s second RIAA file sharing case to ever reach a jury.any

First jury trial against a file sharer, Jammie Thomas-Rasset. That case has morphed into a Ground Hog Day of sorts for the same reason. After a third trial in that case, U.S. District Judge Michael Davis of Minnesota slashed an award from $1.5 million to $54,000 in a jury verdict for sharing 24 songs on Kazaa.
But whether judges ultimately have the authority to reduce damages awards in Copyright Act cases, even those involving music tracks, is another unanswered story. The Supreme Court has never squarely answered that question.

I don't download music do some research esse.

then get back on your soap box.

And they do it with this content matching!

I just took a clip from Ark or the truth and uploaded it. With the MGM matching content, they inserted advertisement. After all, it is their content.

Did anyone watch the 2nd video I posted in #75?

MGM now makes revenue from my clips of their material. YouTube does what the owner of the copyrighted material wants.

Here is the video with the advertisement:

Mojo must have been uploading more than what falls under "fair use."

Bits and pieces of clips which they probably got off of trailers to begin with.

No, I watched some of their videos in different links. There was much more than just off of trailers, and you are being intellectually dishonest if you actually watched their to 10 stuff.

I have a few thoughts that revolve around the way you make money with Youtube, but not ready to voice it until I find out more.

They were clips you could have found anywhere on youtube. Even now you could go back. The clips didn't even last for more than a 15-20 seconds. It wasn't like they were spoiling the movies and shit. Shit, most of their clips was years old. lol C'mon. Get your Youtube stick off your ass and see things simply for once.

Just did and it didn't help. It just explains how it works.

I'll ask you this then..

Having watched that video and them saying that they only take action if so asked by whatever companies to take whatever videos down, then why in teh blue fuck are they flagging and taking videos down by themselves without having the go ahead from said comepanies?

They're going Rogue is what it looks like.

I think it has to do with the commercialized aspect. Now I never watched Mojo until it was brought up here. I'll simply make a wild guess that they were collecting revenues. I'll guess from there that when they were asked to reply to the content ID match, they claimed it was theirs to make profit on, and used the dispute option. The originators of their clips disagree.

Do you have any evidence their videos were taken down without asking the copyright material owners first?

I now have three uploaded videos that I "acknowledged" containing third party content. I think if you dispute these when they pop up, there is a hold on the copywriters profits from ads in youtube. I "disputed" the first one until reading more about the "ID Content" stuff. I then changed it to acknowledged.

It's just a guess, but I will guess that Mojo was trying to avoid sharing ad space.

Good old rhethoricals. Why even bother?

Its common sense though. These guys have been doing this for a while now and all of a sudden they get taken down now when all of this hoopla is going on? Coincidence? That would be one hell of a coincidence one has to wonder if it was at all.

Oh well, another good channel gone although they do have their own site.

Yes.

They have their own site.

The UEFA only has one show to complain about. Mojo did use several minutes of their material in one video alone that I watched.
