View Full Version : My bold prediction--and inevitably my worst football take ever

Hear me out for a sec...there have been 2 teams over the past several years (Detroit is newly joining them) that you legitimately never know what to expect from every week--Dallas and San Diego. They can beat or lose to any one.

That being said, I predict the Dallas Cowboys make the playoffs and win the NFC barring one caveat--they don't have to face the Saints. If they have to go to Seattle they will beat them. They are coming off their worst performance of the year but my gut tells me they will not lose another game until either they play the Saints, or in the SB.

I'mnot high or drunk, and I hate Dallas with every fiber of my being, but i sense an improbable run

It's possible if the defense some how finds a way to make the other team punt.

a take with some balls.

I actuall yhad a similar gut feeling, that they will have an improbable run at some point, just not sure its this year with that defense. but I still think Romo plays his bean3r heart out at some point and shuts up a lot of people, of course there's people still bitching about Peyton in the playoffs, so maybe not.

For my own homer take, I think Niners could be the darkhorse team.

Romo going in and winning in Seattle would be pretty cash, all things considered.

that's a horrible take lol. that being said, i do like their chances of winning the east. if dallas would draw cum newton and the panthers i could see that being an easy victory.

who knows. as a fan i can only hope for the best. however, years of mediocrity have left me expecting the worse year in and out.

We'll have another Worst Take thread after the Super Bowl, so at least you know what your contribution will be. I already have mine.

I'm gonna blow everyone's shitty takes out of the water: Cum Newton Super Bowl MVP.

And then Spurstalk imploded.

I don't see them winning the East. I expect the Eagles to put up 40+ in the season finale. Dallas will win the next two but lose to the Eagles and finish the season at 9-7.

I can see the Eagles making a postseason run. Foles and that offense are firing on all cylinders. The playoffs would be tainted if Dallas made it as a division winner. They're so mediocre that them making the playoffs would be an embarrassment to the league and the NFC.

it's gonna come down to the last game and we're gonna get raped, same as every year.

My co-worker denounced his Cowboy fanhood after the Chicago loss. He said he's been a Cowboy fan all his life but now he's just fed up.

Best thing to hope for is Avante's making the opposite prediction.

I hope they do make it. Some of Romo's finest work as a choke artist comes after the season is over.

The Dallas defense is so bad there is no chance of a Baltimore/Giants-esque fluke run. They've got guys starting on that defense who were working at Home Depot when the season started.

:lol just a wild guess, does he also root for the Lakers/Heat in basketball, the Yankees in baseball, UNC/Kentucky in college hoops while hating Duke, and either Miami or whatever team is ranked #1 in college football?

lol close. I don't really talk about baseball and college but he did root for the Miami Heat last year. I tried to convince him that although he's a Mavfan, Texas teams should unite against outside teams for championships. Hell, even I rooted for the Mavs that year and I hate the Mavs. He wasn't having it, calling TP and Duncan crybabies, ect.
