Anyone watching the Spurs Summer league right now???

This Dartez is UNREAL. Guy has unbelieveable athletic ability, hes blocking the shots of Podkolzine like its nothing.

Andre Barrett looks good, but looks like Jason Hart reincarnate.

but Dartez is DEFINATELY worth a training camp invite IMO.

I think that is the only good game he had. The only guy from summer league that I know got an invite was Sanders. But maybe more did.

"invite"

meaning to Spurs pre-season training camp?

Yes. But there has been no official announcement from the Spurs as to who has been invited.

Britton Johnsen didn't get one either???

Melvin I think has horrible shot selection, Im not that enamored.

Ondrej Starosta was pretty solid in the post but he has already signed with Strasbourg in France for next season.

I can't imagine the Spurs not inviting Sanders and Johnsen, though.

He's an incredible defender. He's being brought to camp for that, not because he's a shooter (Despite the fact he scored 54 in a CBA game this year.)

Britton had 2 good games and then shot 8-for-34 for the rest of the way. He even said on halftime during one of the games that the Spurs told him already that there was no spot for him. So I don't know if he'll be in camp or not.

a defensive shooting guard.

Just what the team needs.......

While Britton Johnsen, a good shooting long three gets stiffed.

Ignore the bad shooting games, all his shots are short, and even the announcers have hinted that hes tired.

I don't know if he did. I'm just saying that I know Sanders did.

Deny a long three, but, bring ina defensive shooting guard.

Makes sense :rolleyes

I think he's being brought into camp in case Devin isn't coming back.

Maybe they already have a plan for picking up another long 3 in free agency, who knows.

I would also think like to see the Spurs do another "Devin" move and invite Marshall High School grad and Illinois 6th man, Jack Ingram to camp. He's playing with the Jazz in Summer League, but it would kind of neat to see Jack get a shot at being a practice player with the Spurs.

if johnsen is out it means 3SF/SG spots are still open with at least one being a long 3...
sanders could be the young project - we have threads on who the long three could be but what about the third one?

they must have something in place to tell LJIII and britton there was no room for them...

There is nothing left out there thats worth it.

They must like the Third alot.

Maybe enggeland will make him a respectable shooter at least.

Horry For 3!

I don't know anything about the players because I couldn't ever watch it since I don't have NBATV. :depressed

They aren't bringing him back.

And there's a ton of 3's available in free agency better than the Third or Britton Johnsen.

Not only FAs, but teams like Atlanta are full up with 3s that we might be able to make a trade for. We keep hearing Atlanta won't talk to us about one, but they're gonna have to move somebody IMHO.
