Where do Parker and Manu rank on the regular season win %? I know Manu has played less than 820 regular season games but where is Parker as he has played over 820.

Yes, Parker has played 892 games and his team had won 642 of those, winning % of 71.97% (better than Duncan's) while Ginobili has played 748 games and won 543 of those - 72.59% - the best of the triumverate.

If we consider 820 games as the minimum criteria, the ordering becomes this -

820 is a random number... makes me wonder who is being left off this list at around 800 games?

JR3
12-13-2013, 12:38 PM
Well i guess its not that random considering 82 games in a season / 10 seasons.. but varies quite a bit with playoffs and shortened seasons.

JR3

Seeing stats like these makes it even more incredible that some fans around here dis any one of our big three at any time.

And yet, every game played, as soon as one makes a mistake or misses a shot, some folks just seem to take delight in trashing them repeatedly.

I was surprised at how low on the list Michael Jordan was.

Rodman didn't stick out in a way that could be seen or noticed? And Kerr did?

Kerr played 4 seasons in SA and won 2 rings.
Rodman played 2 seasons in SA and... well, that's it.

Kerr is associated with Chicago and SA. Rodman is associated with Detroit and Chicago.

Don't know, tbh. Remember he had a couple of B2B first round exits and I think that a couple of sweeps too.

If the OP used basketball-reference.com to compile his numbers, then a good portion of the Celtics dynasty is outside of the search parameters.

Mel is right. The data is from 1963-64 (the earliest available) and in any case, I don't know if the Celtics dynasty played so many games to fit into the criteria.

Spursfanfromafar

Nevertheless, data from Elias Sports Bureau quoted by Bill Simmons some years ago allows us to calculate this -

No. of regular season Games played, Win % for Regular Season; No. of overall games played, Win % for Overall:

Sam Jones; 71.8%, 64.9%, 1025, 70.76%
Bill Russell; 963, 71.7%, 1128, 70.56%

That places the Celtics' maestros just below Manu Ginobili and above Tony Parker and Tim Duncan in the all time overall list.
