It's kind of confusing how the Jazz have two PG's named Burke and Burks.

Give Duncan 60 more seconds and then go back to Baynes. Let Timmy sit.

In good news, at least Jeff Ayres played more minutes than he has negative PER points. 9 minutes played, and only -8.

Good win, especially with it being the 4th game in 5 nights. The next 3 games are gonna be tough at the Clippers, Suns, and Warriors...

Thank God for Tim Duncan. Dude continues to get it done. Not going to lie, I was a little concerned at the beginning of the season but he looks as if he is finding that groove that he was in last season. How he had enough gas to play this well tonight is beyond me, but I'll take it. Next up is the Clippers...

With OKC waiting for us when we get home. 4 games in 6 nights with +.500 teams. 2-2 would be a fair expectation.

Re-watching the game and Ayres has been out of position on almost every possession that he's on the court in the 1st quarter. There were two things I noticed while he was on the court. On the Strong motion play, he doesn't show the cahones to post up and players are understandingly hesitant to feed him the ball. If he's the trailer who receives the ball and is responsible for the pick in the developing pick and roll for the strong side wing he obviously had trouble finishing at the rim when the wings fed him on the roll. It's also quite noticeable that the offense takes a hit in terms number of plays able to be run. When on the court with Ayres, Duncan is preferred to be the (4) position (of the two bigs, this big is responsible for having some versatility on the court) while Ayres moves to the (5) position. Duncan at the (4) position limits the offense, especially with Ayres in. Going forward Pop needs to figure out if he's going to continue this experiment.

The Suns are reportedly looking to trade some of their picks for a "star".

Good analysis. Splitter is about to be back, the days of Ayres sharing the court with Duncan are hopefully over.

I agree. Good analysis. With Splitter's return, Ayres returns to his role as occasional 4th big and garbage time player who rarely shares the court with Duncan. What remains to be seen is if Baynes' success in two games playing next to Diaw leads to Ayres being completely relegated to garbage time.
