View Full Version : Who Hates Licking Wood?

timvp

We have some sugar-free popsicles that Kori eats (:vomit), but she stops eating when she gets down to about an inch away from the wood of the popsicle stick. She says that the taste and even the smell of the wood grosses her out.

To me, the best part of a popsicle is that part right by the wood. You get that popsicle flavor with a dash of wood flavoring. Then you can suck some more flavor out of the wood. Kori says I'm crazy. I say she's crazy.

No one gets grossed out by the wood, right?

It's not an inch away that I stop. It's like 1/4 inch.

the wood is a pefectly natural part of the popsicle, without the wood, there would be no popsicle, i say embrace both

I'm talking popsicle wood.

Come on now.

:lol Love the title.

I think LJ's crazy, but, Kori, if you let the popsicle melt enough, it'll slide right off the stick and then you don't have to waste any popsicle. And you forgot the texture. The texture of licking that stick is the equivalent of listening to fingernails on a blackboard.

Hell yeah I eat down to the wood......it's the only kind of wood I get. :rolleyes

Maybe the time he spent on the left coast courting Miss Kori had some kind of effect on him?

I think it depends on the brand of popsicle. Blue Bell has decently smooth popsicle stick wood...but i've had some rough ones from some other brands.

It tastes like nature.

When I was little, they had some popsicles with plastic sticks. I don't know why they all don't have that. The only wood that I want to suck on is ...

Never mind.

Kori said she'd rather go outside and pick a limb off of a tree and eat it than lick a popsicle stick.

The state of women's civil rights all over this planet would change instantly if we could just get the word out: repressed women don't go down!

I've gotta go with timvp on this one. I don't know about "sugar-free" popsicles, though.

And you gotta have the original Popsicle brand. No substitutions.

(I'm trying really hard to avoid the innuendo running rampant in this thread. Damnit, did I just say "hard" in a thread discussing the licking of wood?)

I'm actually tasting popsicle wood right now. The part that isn't inside the popsicle actually tastes better -- it has more of a wood flavor.

Interesting.

I'm with Kori, the wood part is pretty nasty to me as well. It reminds me of being in the doctors office when they gag you with the wood stick to look down your throat. I shudder just thinking about the damn popsicle wood :lol

I got your back on this one timvp :lol

When I'm finished with mine, the top of the stick is kinda soggy and easy to chew. I normally bite down on the top and break some off and chew it. Like someone said earlier, it's like how a lot of people chew on the stick of a lollipop long after it is gone.

JoeChalupa

I don't mind the taste and I've built a house or two out of popsicle sticks.
It takes patience but if you stick to it it's fun.

Kori is right. That wood taste like a 5th grade teachers ruler. The problem is, most of you in here have no taste buds left, anyone who has eaten Koris food will know her taste buds are in the same catagory as any master chef.

My taste buds are top of the line, not only can I tell you what type of wood was used, I can tell you what part of the country the tree was growing at.

Sometimes a womans taste buds are very sensitive when she is pregnant,

This overheated melodrama tells the story of a proud slave-owning family in the antebellum South and their eventual descent into adultery, incest, and (gasp!) sexual congress with those of other races. There's a Southern belle who's a panting nymphomaniac, a white man who craves African flesh -- and every black male is a well-endowed sexual stallion. The cliches crackle! The sex sizzles! The stereotypes explode! What more could you ask for?
