Let's see....

Tied the rookie td record.

Now holds the ...most wins in their first two seasons.....record.

What's next for this stud, how about...first Seattle Seahawks Superbowl win?

Anyone ...still...not getting this? Where is RGIII, oh yeah....ass on the bench! Where is goofy looking Andrew Luck, how many INTS has he thrown?

We need more Russell Wilson threads here.

Would you believe the Seahawks first solid running back came out of Miami of Ohio as a QB? Sherman Smith their first rushing leader, see ya learned something:hat

I'm putting Marshawn Lynch ahead of.....Sheun Alexander, Chris Warren and Curt Warner as the best Seahawk back ever. A slow white guy their best receiver, hell the guy was even cut by the Houston Oilers....Steve Largent. Imagine of Wilson had him to throw to.

I know that Russell Wilson on the Jaguars wouldn't be a playoff team. I know that without Andrew Luck the Colts would be about as bad as the Texans are right now yet with him they're a division winner and still alive for all four of the top playoff seeds in their conference in Week 16. They win the two seed as simple as them and Baltimore both winning out. That's how good Andrew Luck is, taking a shitty Colts team to a division win and possible first round bye.

When you talk about the Seahawks, you never hear anyone say it's all because of Wilson. It's also about Lynch and that offensive line, Sherman, Thomas and that defense. Plug any third tier QB like Joe Flacco or Carson Palmer into that team and they still win just as many games. If the Seahawks win the Super Bowl and teams start trying to sign off every free agent they have, watch how quickly Wilson's production adjusts to the overall talent of his roster. I promise you it will happen. I'm sure Russell Wilson is a pretty cool dude to smoke pot and play Madden with but he's not the beat to his team's drum the way Andrew Luck is.

If you remove Russell Wilson's rushing stats, the Seahawks aren't even in the top 20 among rushing teams (yards/game). The amazing Lynch is averaging 4.2 ypc. When we saw the Rams game, they almost lost because they couldn't block jack shit and Quinn/Long were in the backfield practically before the ball was. At some point you need to acknowledge that you are overstating the ability of their O-Line and understating the role Wilson has on their offense.

They are the #2 scoring offense in the NFL only to Denver. I'll grant you that they benefit from the defense giving them short fields, but you don't see Kansas City averaging over 28 ppg despite having a RB even better than Lynch and a better offensive line, do you?

I'm not here to tell you that Wilson is a top 5 qb, or that he's necessarily better than Luck, but to ignore Wilson's affect on the team is just turning a blind eye to the obvious. Tbh have you actually watched Seahawks games much at all this year?

Nobody has done more after three.

Put third-year Brees on the current Seahawks and not only do they still win last year, they also don't lose this year.

Why not actually take just a few minutes and educate yourself ok stupid? Don't confuse the recent Drew Brees to the young one with just three years of NFL experience, that was a whole other deal. But being a dummy you don't know this.

What QB had a better first three seasons than RW?

You won't find one. How about just a tad bit of perspective here, ok?

What Marino did in his first three seasons is way more impressive.

No way the 1984 Dolphins make the Super Bowl or the 1985 AFC Title game with RW as their QB. Its not happening. Not good enough to carry those defenses.

And the 2013 Seahawks get curb stomped by the 1984 Niners.

Trust me, none of those 80's teams are beating any decent team today, ok? Too small, too weak and too slow, ok?

See, it takes Dan Marino...cool!

He started less games, he didn't win as many, he had an infrerior comp %, he had an inferior td/int ratio, he had an inferior passEr rating, than RW. Go ahead...Google it. And he lost his SB.

How many QB's stepped right in and...playoffs! Superbowl win! Superbowl....and never missed a game. While setting records and doing things never done before,...well?

I noticed ya dropped trying to compare Brees's first three seasons, not even in the same state.

Aztecfan03

And if RW hands off to Lynch he has two SB wins in far less games.

And it's all about playing for Championships, RW has played in two in just three seasons. You can try and slice n' dice it anyway ya want, what RW has done with his lack of experience is far more impressive than what Brees has done, when it comes to Championships.

And playing in a SB, even winning one does not make you a great QB, whether 3 years in or 10.

AKA Dilfer, B. Johnson. Usually those types of teams have some serious limitations, but overcome those limitations with other factors. In those such cases the defenses carried thos teams to SB wins or even just getting there. That appears to be the case for RW as well.

Wilson is going to be out of the league in probably about 4 seasons. He's a terrible QB. All he can do is throw deep 50-50 balls and run around some. When the Seahawks are forced to rely on him to win--which they will be after they pay him--they are going to suck and he's going to be out of a job.

There is no QB in the league in the RW era who has had more 4th quarter td winning drives than he's had, go ahead Google it.

Russell Wilson is a top 10 QB right now, by the end of this decade he will be among the top 4 in the league. Bank it. just like me telling everyone he'd be special. Will he ever be in any discussion with Montana. Brady, Peyton, Rodgers, Johnny U, Otto...nope!

Leaves the college game has the all time passing leader, in his rookie season..rookie td record/playoffs. In his second season...SUPERBOWL CHAMP. In his third season, one foot from winning another Superbowl. Who else has ever done this, yep...nobody!!!!!!!!!

Once upon a time it was the fullback who was your stud runner, Jim Brown was a fullback, Jim Taylor a fullback. What is a fullback today if we even see one? There was a time when a TE was just another lineman who caught an occasional pass. Enter John Mackey and then Kellon Winslow*** took it to an even higher level. Russell Wilson is the first of the great run/pass QB's, that the NCAA is full of. Who has won the last three Heismans, yep...running QB's&&. This stupid.....ya gotta throw the ball all over the place is how dumb fucks talk, hell no ya don't. And RW is proving that. He is where the league is heading, watch and see. We are seeing more and more black QB's with some wheels playing for top schools, now think.

*** no it wasn't Tony Gonzalez that changed the position, it was Winslow.

&& compare Winston to Peyton/Brady when it comes to mobility.

With how stacked Struggle's supporting cast is, the fact that he needs so many late touchdown drives to win is telling. Give a real elite QB that supporting cast and the majority of fourth quarters would be garbage time.

So we need to kck Bart Starr out of the HOF, keep in mind he had TWO HOF backs and a defense with four HOFers on it. So we need to kick Terry Bradshaw out of the HOF, he had a HOF...

center
running back
TWO wide receivers
defensive lineman
TWO linebackers
cornerback

Where is Warner without Faulk, Holt and Bruce? Where is Troy without Emmitt, Irvin and Jay?

His statistics this season were already middle of the pack, not anything special. 15th in passing yards, 20th in completion percentage, 10th in passer rating

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/passingYards/seasontype/2

Avante's flaw in logic is that he compares RW's first 3 season's stats to great QBs who played their first 3 years with a completely different set of rules as far as passing the ball goes. He also credits RW's mediocre individual contributions to the overall team's success.

As I just mentioned, wins are team accomplishments. I'm looking at raw statistics which show that he is a middle of the pack QB. And comparing his stats in today's NFL with elite QB's stats in their first 3 years is like comparing apples and oranges due to the changes in rules.

Why does a QB need to depend on so many late comebacks when he has the #1 defense in the NFL and one of the best of all time? A good QB would almost always have a comfortable lead in the 4th quarter with one of the best defenses of all time.

Plus most of the QBs considered to be good are drafted onto historically "bad" teams, where the teams are just not that good from a player statnd point all the way up through ownsership. RW got drafted into a perfect situation that allowed him to put up the kind of numbers he has. If RW had been drafted by the Browns, Colts, Vikings, Bucs, and or Cardinals in that year his career might (most likely) would of had a very different trajectory.

Right now RW is on his rookie contract making 600K, lets see how good he is when he is making 14-16 mil and there are even less good players around him. Time will tell if he is as good as Avante thinks. He has a good start to his career, but it could have been very different had another team drafted him.

So? Just looking at the last few drafts:

The Colts were 3-13 before Peyton showed up and 2-14 before Luck showed up.
The Eagles were 3-13 before McNabb showed up.
The Bengals were 2-14 before Palmer showed up.
The Giants were 4-12 before Eli showed up.
The Chargers were 4-12 before Rivers showed up.
The Falcons were 4-12 before Ryan showed up.
The Lions were 0-16 before Stafford showed up.
The Panthers were 2-14 before Cum showed up.

7-9 is a huge upgrade over the situations that most notable rookie QB's are stepping into. Even then, guys like Roethlisberger and Flacco who were drafted into slightly more fortunate situations have always been given far more responsibilities than Struggle has ever had to deal with.

Face it, Old Faggot, your boy has had it insanely easy to start his career, and despite that advantage, hasn't even been very impressive.
