they're both opinion based...whereas rings on non-locked out seasons have a direct relationship to the players effort or output...in other words rings aren't opinion based ASG selections and MVP's are...

therefore:

The Chinese don't get to vote for MVP, which explains why Duncan and LeBron have more of them than Kirbs :lol

the difference between the 2, on game day u see who is the fkn selfish prick ballhogging every possession trying to pad his stats for the ASG mvp

that is all kobe can steal, while the RS mvp nobody takes him serious, no wonder why he only has 1

only 1 mvp to show for it, yet his fans and the media want him to be undisputed player of the decade....what a fkn joke, nominated a fkn robin sidekick of 5 championships to be player of the decade.....

:lol So true.... the West All-Star team has devolved into an annual ballhogging/stat-padding competition between Kirby and Durant the past few years, tbh....

MVP is a performance award. You actually have to play like a top 10 NBA player and lead a team to a great record. MVP shows, which player has the biggest impact on his team's wins. It's voted by analysts, people who know more about the NBA than the general fan. Some analysts are obviously biased, but they're not some random kids with access to internet. Imagine if MVP was voted by the people...MJ would have had twice as many MVPs.

Anyone can vote for all-stars. Dwight Howard did not deserve to be the starting C for the West last year, he wasn't the best big man in the West and he didn't contribute to many wins on his team, TOSB Duncan was a lot better. Vince Carter was forced to give up his ASG spot for MJ, because it was his retirement tour.

difference is if the 1 billion chinks are eligible to vote imho.
