I was just wondering since Manu is probably within a year or two of the end if he ever expressed interest in coaching? I have a feeling he would be a great coach and would love to see him stick with the Spurs after his playing days are over. Yeah, he will probably go back to Argentina after his playing days are over but this was just a thought. Good article about Manu in SI today too.

He has said he would like to still be doing something related to basketball but not coaching.

The beauty of manu's game and his play making ability is that so much of it is based on instinct and feel, albeit within the framework of pop's system. This is difficult to teach or coach, I don't know how a player like Manu could instruct another player to do what he would do in game situations. I think he would go crazy wondering why other players can't see things happening on the court the way that he does. I understand the sentiment cuz I also love it when my favorite players stick around somehow. I'm thrilled that Sean is one of our announcers and I love seeing the Admiral at the games, so being a proud and unapologetic member of the C.O.M. I get where your coming from. Tim's game, being much more cerebral as opposed to instinctive, makes him a good candidate, I think. Of course I could be wrong.
