I don't think it's as simple as that, tbh. RG3 is mentally fragile, so benching him while the Redskins still had an outside shot at the playoffs could've ruined his confidence and alienated their southeast DC fanbase. Manziel isn't some can't miss prospect or anything but I don't get the excessive criticism of him as an NFL prospect. IMO he's not any worse than the other QB prospects this year who all have majors flaws/concerns.

I really don't think this game will show how good Derek Carr is. Scouts already know that he has a strong arm and is pretty accurate on his reads. Nothing in this game suggests otherwise. I still think he's going to be top 10 in the NFL draft
