I get 70 down from Grande for $70 a month. I am less irritated with them than I have been with others, but there is some slowdown from node overloading in peak times.

Since you asked about UVERSE... :lol
I have UVERSE 300, phone long distance & internet...Three TV’s…I Pay 145 per month…It is a bit high but I also get the tennis channel, local sports teams and a bunch of football & BB channels…A trick I have learned is to have your receiver & DVD’r connected to a Belkin surge monitor that you can turn off when you are not at home….The DVD’r gets smoking hot & the system often loses its connection & everything needs to be rebooted…With a surge monitor you can power down the items you like & leave the ones on that you want…Also it is much easier to force quit using one master switch when everything crashes…
It has been my experience that UVERSE sends out their best team when you are a new customer…After that you get the B-Team who never shows up the day that they are scheduled…(Lots of fun with a 6 hour window)…The phone technical support is just awful…You get routed to India, the person on the phone repeats everything you say but has no idea how to fix it…Eventually you get routed to tier 2 located in Texas where there is an educated person who speaks the same language as you & sends you the part you need & a label to ship the old part back…The process can take 3 hours…
Also look out for expiring discounts! Recently UVERSE raised my bill to over two hundred dollars per month and I needed to get transferred to the retention people to get an adjustment….They may give you 3 months free HBO or Cinemax for you troubles but on the 91’st day they will hose you all over again…
Charter communications has a good reputation in my area & has a guaranteed 2 hour window in an effort to win over UVERSE customers…
Time Warner has the worst reputation in my area & is not even worth looking at their packages…

I had TWC in the past for a lot of years. I had more and more trouble with the service.
Channels would drop out. The internet would go slow and drop out in the afternoons.
Both would freeze up and I would have to unplug the boxes to reset them. Every2 years
they would replace my cable to the drop box in my back yard after I would complain
about service.I now have ATT now and I am very happy with the service and the picture
along with home phone and internet. They use the phone line to hookup to your house
and we have not have any of the problems we had with TWC. The picture is better
and the internet is fast and always working. I can't say enough about ATT over TWC.
I will never go back to TWC. We don't have Grande but I hear theyhave good service.
The only problem we had with ATT was getting the $200 gift card for signing up with ATT.

Does anyone know how far north Grande covers. I bet I'm in between Grande and GVTC coverage areas which sucks since AT&T is bearable but the prices compared to both Grande and GVTC is laughable...

New neighborhood. Our address listing wasn't even in AT&T's database.
