Quit smoking in August so that one's out this year.

Need to lose about 30 pounds and improve my conditioning a little bit to join the Navy.

Attend a Colts home game with my best friend who has never gone. I have, but that was back in the old RCA Dome so I definitely want to check out the new place. We have our eyes on the game against the Patriots to see them play against Tom Brady before the old timer hangs em up.

And finally, I want to be more like my friend Derek when playing Call of Duty. I've seen that guy flip out like only one time while playing videogames. Meanwhile, you don't even have to talk shit to me to set me off. If I detect one modicum of stupidity or can verbally tell you are not white, it's fucking on.

Those are two resolutions that'll last as long as the fatties resolution of going to the gym.

tbh try toothpicks to quit smoking. helped with me because i have a high stress job and was always running outside to smoke with something pissed me off. substitutes (lozenges, patch, gum, e-cig) are not the answer, great way to get sick or drive you back to smoking because "it's not good enough". kept a box of toothpicks in my desk drawer and work and just chewed on them all day, never really felt like going outside to smoke after the first week.

I have a tendency to get so busy with school and work and all that stuff that my social life goes neglected and I don't spend as much time with my friends as I'd like. I'm not a big resolution person in general, but I'd like to make an effort to keep fun/non-productive stuff higher on the priority list in the coming year.

On a similar note, I used to be the kind of person who went to see at least one movie per week in the theater. In 2013 I've only been to the movies four times, so far, again because I feel like I don't usually have time. I'd like to get back in the habit of doing that more often.

I have to salute CuckingFunt for being such an ambitious person who's still pursuing knowledge at this age. I mean even those young students in their early 20s don't care much about learning anymore. And learning is one sacred task that should be continued throughout people's lifetime, just because you're out of school it doesn't mean your done as a student imho. some of our classmates are also in their late 20s and even early 30s and they're still eager for knowledge. It doesn't matter how old you are imho, what matters is how old you feel.

I just want to leave my hometown and Target. I need a change of scenery. I'd honestly move to China or South Korea and work if there was a good opportunity. My hometown and Target are holding my life hostage. I won't be happy until I cut ties with both of them.

Holding farts longer in public areas until i can get into a neutral zone.

I just let them go indiscriminately in public now when they're silent...it's rude and foul but i don't look like the culprit

- Go to a Spurstalk GTG
- Drink more...water
- Save for a new car
- Integrate "tbqh" into everyday vernacular
- Take GMAT/GRE and plan to start Grad school
- Lose weight to get healthy...and get best rate on life insurance tbqh
- Try to have another kid...and then try some more, and more
- Practice trying
- Have a garage sale to get rid of half my unnecessary crap...and by "my" I mean "my wife's"

- Come to think of it...I'm gonna sell my house and move into one half the size, have a garage sale to get rid of the crap, use the proceeds toward the new car, lose weight moving boxes and drinking plenty of water...hoping I don't kill myself before I get life insurance. Then I'll go to a Spurstalk GTG and chat up well-educated posters on tips for taking the GMAT, get sloshed, come home and make a baby.

Tbqh, I think I could roll through all of these in one well-planned day.

I don't have resolutions. I don't smoke, don't have any real vices that I am aware of (other than being Alpha all the time).

I have projects I want to complete, but they aren't related to changing my ways. I happen to be pretty decent already.

I could list material things but who fucking cares.

If I could invent something to change, I'd say I have an issue with idiots and I'd like to be more accepting of the fact that most of the world isn't as lucky as me where genetics is concerned.

Oh, I'd like to see my people finally get reparations for the trail of tears, been trying to return those fucking blankets for a long time.

Whenever you think you're going to make a joke, stop and think to yourself for a moment, "is this remotely funny? And would I have made this joke when I was 12"? I promise you won't post any more if you do this.

Unlike you, I don't feel I am part of any of it. It's happening around me and I either watch or I don't. It happens either way. I don't take personal satisfaction in what others do, especially in sports.

I approach it much the same way as you do. But I admit to being a bit partial to the Spurs, but they are the only sports team I do that with. All other sports teams can sink or swim as far as I am concerned.
