While Dejuan blair had last night's game on his calendar, I have the heat game marked on mine for 01/26/14. With just under a month to go for it, do you guys think this will be the game that lights a fire under them or will it be another ass fucking by an elite team? At this rate, they'd beat us by at least 20 points and maybe into the thirties? History points to the team waiting until the rodeo trip to start playing A games but hopefully they can show up for this game. What do you guys think will happen then?

A combo of Wade, Allen, and Beasley will not play.

And we will lose any way. "Per par."

i really don't care too much for the game. if we beat them, then what? we didn't beat them when it counted. just another regular season game really.

Prolly an assraping. It'll be a statement game for the Heat too, or at least a game they won't coast through from tip to horn.

Both teams have days between games so they should both play at full strength. It's a nationally televised game so we will probably lose.

Oh and Jeff Ayres will get tea bagged by Lebron

Overhyped and unimportant tbqh. Regular season victories against supposed contenders are meaningless.

Afblue has a point. Number 1 cliff jumper here but you really can't get too high or too low with regular seasons wins or losses. The Spurs usually struggle with the Clippers in the reg season and we swept their asses in the playoffs a couple seasons back.

Of course regular season games pale in comparison to playoff time. But to say they are meaningless has become overused in its own right. There's something to be said for being able to play an A game in late January against the defending champs.

If it's post-RRT or All-Star break, I do think it carries a bit more weight. But, unless the Spurs have solidified their rotation and started crushing teams leading up to this matchup it'll be much more important to whatever network is carrying it than it really should be...tbqh, imho, fwiw.

I think it will matter to a few guys on the Spurs, it's a measuring stick kind of game and a pride thing. Regardless if it's a regular season game there is a little bit of just wanting to gent frustration for that debacle last season. I know Tim will take it serious

See, it's amazing how good your takes can be when you take out the cliff-jumping and the :lmao emoticon.

Just a reg season game and the outcome doesn't really matter.

Thanks man, I usually do it just to get a rise out of people but I'm gonna knock it off since I know it gets annoying. Lol.

Doesn't matter. If they win, " it's only the regular season ". If they lose, they're fucked because they can't beat top teams.

Getting revenge for 6 in June matters more.

We'd be losers and admitting defeat to think that we can earn payback for a game in January for a game that would be more appropriate in June.

I don't get why the Heat would treat this as a statement game. They are the reigning champions, they made the statement that they can beat the Spurs already in the Finals.

TheGoldStandard

The Heat get up against top teams, they won't dog it for 3 1/2 quarters are then turn it on.

Looking forward to this game, moved to Tampa, FL in 95 from San Antonio, haven't been to a spurs game since the 94/95 season. Bought tickets to make the 4 hour drive to Miami to see the big 3, couldnt pass up the oppertunity. Hope they can pull off the victory, and they better not sit out t he big 3 or I'm going to be pissed. lol

after seeing the ending of the game against portland last night, i still don't know why teams give up open 3's to stop a layup. keep a man on 3 point shooters when playing the heat NO MATTER WHAT!!! simple basketball really. 2 is not greater than 3 in no form of math on earth..
