Sports cars are in Daytona the weekend testing for the Jan.25 for the TUDOR 24 Hours of
Daytona. Tire and car setup's for the big race. All kinds of cars will run in the 24 hours.
Corvettes, Porsche, Audi's, BMW's and Ferrari in the GT class. The DP class will have
Audi cars that have Diesel engines with electric assist motors somewhat like your street hybrids.
there are Chevy,Ford,BMW and Porsche engine cars in this class. The race will be on TV again
starting on Sat. Jan.24 and ending on Sun.Jan25. on FOX sports 1. There will be other class races
from Daytona leading up to the 24 hour race. Check you TV schedule that week for the times .

I am a car guy. I like to look at the classic muscle cars . I don't care about cars older then about 1950.
I wish I was rich because I would be in the first row bidding on some of the cars. Lots of the cars sold
are daily drivers. That means they wont sit in a building as a investment, they will be on the road.

a oval race two years ago. Dan was well liked by his co drivers and he had just won

Duck Commander now NASCAR title sponsor at Texas
Texas Motor Speedway on Thursday announced a three-year title sponsorship agreement for its spring race with Duck Commander, the brand of best-selling duck calls and Robertson family-owned company featured on the A&E show ''Duck Dynasty.'' The deal is for the spring race at the track.
The April 6 race will be known as the Duck Commander 500.

Sinkhole Swallows Classics At National Corvette MuseumA 40ft sinkhole opened up at The National Corvette Museum swallowing up 8 classic corvettes. The Museum is in

Denny Hamlin won a wreck filled 75 lap race that saw multi wrecks that included

Yeah he's been pretty bad at restarts these past few years. It's a conundrum for sure.

But Indy is so massive that he would have gotten by at least Kasey if he settled into second before being past by alot of others. 17 Laps there takes like 20 or so minutes to complete and he had a fast enough car that he would have gotten by him no matter.

Did you should see the video posted on Deadspin. Read the comments from people who were at the track. Tony had a GoPro camera on his sprinter.

Good points all. My expectation is that there will be no criminal charges, even if the family asks for it. This whole "ciminal intent" bullshit pretty much proves that. When the police say something so ridiculously wrong, you know they're going full Jameis to protect Stewart. The family will, however file the mother of all civil suits against him, and he will be financially eviscerated.

My guess is that the top drivers are going to be contractually forbidden from slumming it in the little tracks in the future, but if NASCAR perceives a boost in popularity from this, then they'll step right over Ward's corpse and let it happen.

It is sad that these are the types of things that have to happen for people to start doing something about it.

For A race car driver it's hard to turn off the switch after someone puts you out of the race. That's pretty much
happens when a driver jumps out his wrecked car and points or throws his helmet at the car that put him out. As
far as I know this is the first fatality of this kind ever for auto or bike racing. Many feel that Tony's skill level would
keep him from hitting him. Tony's lack of a statement about what happened that race or a interview about it makes
me doubt as to whether he didn't see him. It looks to me that he is not saying anything is a lawyer up. His not

the only guys dumb enough to do this and the ones I've actually seen do this are Kurt Busch, Jimmy Spencer and a few others wait for the car that put them out so they can go after their cars on foot like some kind of warrior.

Kurt has pissed away some good rides like with Penske. Driving for the small Denver Mattress car humbled him some and now he has a good
ride with the Stuart/Hass team. I don't think he is that close to be out of the sport as much no good team would take a chance with Kurt's
temper exploding. Kyle, his brother seems to have the family temper and just about screwed himself out of his Gibbs ride. On Tony Stuart's
temper. He is a co owner of his NASCAR team and it's unlikely he will fire himself. One driver in the top 5 all time temper team is A.J. Foyt.

It was a great race today! I've also been a big fan of Williams, mainly because of Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill in the 90's. Never liked Hamilton when it comes to Brits though..

Your right about Vettel. He has been the best driver in last few years high down force car setup. The new tubro / low down force cars didn't suit his
driving style so it's taking time for him to adapt. That along with Red Bulls chassis and engine problems set him back. I think he will bounce back but
I don't see him in the top 3 by the end of the year. Ferrari sometimes has a pause before they catch up with new rules. They have tons of money
to throw at the team but they have had some personal turnover with the top engine man recently shown the door. He said the problem was the
chassis not the engines. I would love to see Alonso at Williams instead of Massa but that won't happen...Williams brought in a lot of new people
over the winter and their work is showing. They will need to work hard to take it to the very top level. I just don't think they
have the $$$$ to get there.....

Vettle year sucks compared to his new teammate Daniel Ricciardo. Daniel is pacing the Red Bull team and has won races this year. Vettle has struggled
to learn to drive the new chassis that does not suit his driving style. He is slowly coming to grips with the car but has little chance of
coming in the top 4 by the years end. These cars are so difficult to work on that to change a engine takes 6 to 8 hours. In last
years car it would only take about a hour and a half. The next race is at the super fast Italian Grand Prix at Monza Sept 5th.

There has been a lot of talk in F1 about if the cars are to easy to drive. A 17 year old will do testing Friday at the Japan GP.
There was a show on TV where racing game players went from the game to driving a car. In the past drivers like Senna
would have to be lifted out of his car at the end of the race. Now you see drivers get out of their cars and the don't
look very tired. This could be from modern training but all the cars are automatics with power steering. They use the
HANS neck restraint but that does not help with the high G forces in today's cars. There has always been talented young
drivers who start at 19 or 20 on a GP team. It seems like 17 is a little to young to get seat time before going into F1 .
We will see............

Always loved the 2009 Brawn GP car driven by Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, the team that became the current Mercedes team.

I don't know if England is the king of the motorsports world but many of the F1 teams base in
England like NASCAR teams base near Charlotte. It was convenient for teams for air cargo travel to the next
out of country race. I used to be a Louis fan till early this season when Hamilton started to use the
race card about equipment when Nico was winning races. He had a very pushy arrogant attitude on and off the track
and dared anyone on the team to get in his way. I think the team caved in for him totally after Nico's front wing
hit his rear tire after Hamilton just about drove over the top of Nico's car. Nico had to apologize for what was a racing
incident. After that it was like they told Nico he was #2 on the team. MB never treated Nico like the kid glove
treatment Hamilton got. Nico got caught out in the politics of F1.

I'm interested, who would you suggest is? I believe it'd be Britain, as they have the most established racing system/farm system out of any country, with the majority of the best drivers in the world, past and present, having raced in Britain/for a British team at some point. 10 drivers from Britain have won the F1 world title, more than any other country/kingdom. Those drivers have won a combined 15 drivers titles, again more than any other country. The F1, GP2 and GP3 champions this year are all English. Most of the successful team principals in F1 are British. Britain has the most wins by drivers in Le Mans history at 29. Britain has the best Touring car championship outside of the World Touring car championship. Britain has multiple time champion drivers/riders in the world rally championship, world superbike championship, formula 2, formula 3, MotoGP etc etc.

Britain have not only dominated F1 with its drivers but also with its constructors. Teams such as Williams, Lotus, McLaren, Cooper, Brabham, Benetton, Tyrrell, BRM and Brawn have all won championships in F1, and a combined 37 championships between them. The next closest is Italy with 19 championships (all either Ferrari, Alfa Romeo or Maserati).

I may and probably do sound pompous, but I'm genuinely interested to see who you reckon it is, there are a few contenders I guess.
