This thread would overload the server if I included all posts that fit my criteria, it would easily reach a 100+ pages, so I'll limit it to some quotes from the 2012-2013 season from the most negative, shittiest poster on SpursTalk, tbh:lol..
(Everybody has bad takes sometimes, obviously, we're all guilty of it, but Hoops Czar is a rare case, as not only does he have an abundance of bad takes, but I can't remember a good take/prediction of his, tbh)..
regarding the Spurs-Grizzlies WCF, with the question being whether the Spurs have improved since 2011:
Oh really, the spurs have gotten better???? Neal and Splitter are less of a productive this postseason, Bonner is getting meaningful minutes, Ginobili is underperforming moreso this postsason than last and Parker's been inconsistent all playoffs long. The Spurs played a broken down Lakers team without Kobe and Nash and tackled a GS team with a hobbled Curry and Lee. The similarities between this year and last are uncanny. If the Spurs don't step up their game in a big way, they'll lose in the WCF's again like they did last year. I don't even know who the hell kevin Blackstone is, but he's not that far off base. Maybe you should have done some research.
re: somebody saying the Spurs were better than the Nuggets last year:lol
Denver is limited? Define limited. Let's not be an optimistic jokester. Tony Parker doesn't get many offensive rebounds and they were throttled on the offensive glass AGAIN. Gallo wasn't much of a factor and Lawson had only 2 points on 1-7 shooting the last time these teams met and the Spurs won by a friggin point WITH Parker. You want to talk about flaws, look no furthe than the Spurs.... no backup pg that's even worth a shit, bigs that play small, and what seems like an endles string of injuries that continue to pile up. The team is deeply flawed in that it has no reliable offensive threat other than TP.
The Spurs are a regular season and I'm not sure what Denver's past has to do with their present. Denver doesn''t shoot three's well but let's not make things up. They're 3rd in offensive efficiency, 6th in TS%. 1st in fast break points and steals/game (not a good team combination against a team prone to careless turnovers), and third in assists. Denver pretty much gets any shot they want and most of them are at the rim. Denver is also number 1 in offensive rebounds and total rebounds/ game, another Achilles heal of the Spurs. Denver's #2 in pace so their really isn't a need to play half court. And if you don't think that pace can be sustained in the post season, look no further than OKC.
And while they don't have a clear cut superstar, Lawson and Faried are up and coming stars and they do have depth.
Warriors series takes(he stopped posting about the Warriors series after the Spurs took control:lol
No, it feels like 1991 when the Spurs took game 1 against the Warrior then, dropped the next three. The Spurs couldn't stop Richmond, Mullin or Hardaway in that series just like they can't stop Curry or Thompson in this one.
With the exception of the two games at the Staples against the dysfunctional Lakers, the Spurs haven't won a road game since February. The defense has been appalling for over two months and the offense has been sporadic at best. Yeah, they're no longer the favored.
The first stage of grief is denial. The Spurs have been playing with preseson intensity for over two months and the only thing the Spurs proved in the second half is they can't get a friggin stop when they need one. The better and more determined team won. It's too late in the game to teach a team how to make layups or knock down a pair of free throws or closing out on jumpshooters. The Spurs had over a week to prepare for this series and they look like the ones out of gas.
The defense isn't rusty. It just SUCKS!!!

The Spurs haven't won a road game since February. They need the number 1 seed or they aren't sniffing the NBA finals
Lost to Miami with three of their starters sidelined. Again, A blown 4th quarter lead and can't get one defensive stop when they absolutely have to have one and your response is they nearly beat the Grizzlies with two starters out. Just how clueless can you get.
Why? I thought regular season games didn't mean anything.Do you read this forum?
Good point.... when players are healthy!!! So we really can't use last year as a guide against a team like the Clippers. A hobbled CP3, no Crawford, Bledsoe, Barnes or Odom, and Blake Griffin couldn't knock down a jumpshot. Hell, the Clippers made their move in the offseason. It doesn't help matters when the Clippers D is specifically designed to stop Tony Parker. In two games vs the Clippers, he's scored 4 points and 11 points respectively. If there was ever a need to make a move at the deadline this was it.
Btw, the Spurs are 0-2 vs the Clippers.
Someone should have emailed Pop the gameplan because other than the Grizzies, the Spurs haven't fared well against any of them.
Two straight games the Spurs lose the game because Manu can't hit a pair of freethrows.. Anyone who says this team is better than last year's needs to have their head examined. I don't care how much the defense has improved, the offense is way to inconsistent to win a playoff series against the Clippers or Thunder. The Spurs are primarily a jumpshooting team and when the shots aren't falling, they look downright pathetic and it will undoubtedly will be their undoing in the playoffs.
Clueless must be your middle name or you don't know what you're watching... You can wish upon a star but I'm not holding my breath waiting and hoping for a post-season miracle.
You can keep telling yourself that but it isn't true. The Spurs still can't get a stop when they have to have one. The Spurs defense was pretty good last year. The only reason the Spurs defense appears to be better was last year's defense got off to a rough start, then climbed the ladder by seasons end. Secondly, Last year's Spurs had huge leads and when the Spurs bench came in, the defense struggled.
replying to Harlem when I said Deron Williams was on the decline
Already on the decline? He's just entering his prime and I don't see a huge slip in production. He's taking more shots causing his assists to drop a tick but he's playing on a lousy team with no other reliable scorers. And since you brought up fat.... and you won't believe who made the list.

If you want to see decline, look no further than Dwayne Wade tbh...!!!
some takes on the Heat since their big 3 was created
You really are a fan boy if you think picking Boston (two straight finals appearances and season series winner) and Chicago ( the leagues best record and sweepers of the Heat in the regular season) were bad prediction. Take off blinders Didley Dynasty
Heat never got out of the conference finals for me
If Miami, Lakers in five ( Miami winning one is contigent on Lebron's participation)
:lmao just coasting
It's not called coasting. The better team won but feel free to come up with some more excuses.
The Heat aren't winning shit.
Lol Lebron James.... 2 points in the fourth quarter and overtime. Any team that thinks he's the answer.
:lol game 2 ecstasy. It was a must win game for the Heat. No way the heat would have come back from a 2-0 deficit. The Bulls played like trash the entire game and it was tied with 4 minutes to go. The Bulls will take either game three or four and the series will be tied at two heading back to Chicago.
Good grief. Lebron and Wade played poorly, but Bosh played like a man possessed. The Bulls are a more balanced and complete team.
No brainer... Bulls in 6
The only way Miami wins a championship is if Boston and Chicago forfeit.
Miami is the flavor of the week.... Beat a couple of quality teams at home and abuse a mentally weak Atlanta team and all of a sudden, they're one of the favorites. There's a reason Miami's 0-6 vs Boston and Chicago. Miami is terrible in close games and things aren't going to change just because the playoffs are around the corner.
