"The New Orleans Pelicans say starting point guard Jrue Holiday is sidelined indefinitely with a right ankle injury.

The team says the injury is a stress fracture in his tibia. It is not clear when or how the injury occurred. Holiday played 29 minutes in Wednesday night's 102-96 loss at home to Washington, making three of 11 shots for eight points to go with three assists, three rebounds and three steals.

In 34 games this season, the 6-foot-4 Holiday is averaging 14.3 points, 7.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds. His injury comes while New Orleans struggles to overcome the absence of leading scorer Ryan Anderson, who has been out indefinitely with a herniated disk since last weekend.

New Orleans hosts Dallas on Friday night."

Stop me if you've heard this one before: The Pelicans are reportedly shopping Eric Gordon.

According to Sporting News, the Pelicans has started making a few calls around the league involving Gordon.

A little more than two years after acquiring him, and 18 months after matching a four-year, $58 million offer sheet from Phoenix, the Pelicans remain active in their pursuit of trading guard Eric Gordon, league sources told Sporting News this week. New Orleans has made contact with several teams about Gordon, even devising three-team scenarios in order to find him a new home.

The Pelicans first began seeking trade options for Gordon last summer, after acquiring point guard Jrue Holiday from Philadelphia on draft night and getting swingman Tyreke Evans in a sign-and-trade from Sacramento. There was some hope at that time that the Suns might remain interested in Gordon, but after Phoenix brought in Eric Bledsoe in a trade, that interest had dwindled."

And why oh why did they match that PHX offersheet?
Gordon wanted to go to them suns trainers should of just worked out a trade instead.
Could A granger/gpordon trade work?
Would NOLa even want Granger?

One of the most baffling signing in recent history. Gordon publicly said he wants to stay in PHX, his body language prior to NO's offer sheet was a dead give away he doesn't want to play in that franchise, yet they still threw money at him. :lol

Reminds me of Steve Francis when he was drafted by the Grizzlies :lol
