it always backfires on the national networks. each year, they choose big name teams they think will win a lot of games, blowing their load over the fact that a they keep making shitty trades(that they think is a great one) went down or that a player who's injured 90% of the time comes back. then when they figure out shitty trades don't work out(surprise!) or some the oft injured star is injured again, they're stuck with shitty ratings. fuck em.

Are there other teams playing in that time slot? ESPN and TNT have already dropped Lakers and Chicago games from their line up, no reason why ABC won't do the same.

Nobody wants to watch the Spurs except for the swines living in San Antonio.

thats the power of big markets imho. they make play like shit but can still generate good $, that's why most big-market teams don't care that much about winning

If Pops wasn't a bitch and resting his players. Maybe NBA can get a Heat-Spurs rivalry.

TNT's coverage is so much better, even though they have Reggie Miller on there.

They pick teams with the most viewers. That makes business sense because they are trying to sell air time to sponsors. I doubt SA lawyers and collision and body repair, or HEB, want to buy time on ABC.

:lol thinking the majority of NBA viewers would tune in to a Spurs or Pacers game unless they were playing against Lebron, Carmelo or D-Rose.
:lol thinking private businesses have to "play fair" with NBA teams
:lol not getting it that being successful on the court /= popularity
