I understood after watching that how valuable Matt Bonner is to the Spurs, and the brilliance of Tony Parker. I must have watched that sequence 5 times, it was so cool to see Tony not give up, he wanted Bonner to take that corner three, and he got it to him in the corner and Matt Bonner drained the 3.

Matt is insurance at this point. Right now with the Spurs big men set there is less pressure for him so he can come in and look great every now and then. As for that play with Tony, yes Tony didn't necessarily give up on the play but at a certain point it was more about Matt and Tony having fun and totally messing with the T-Wolves defense.

IT seems like the Wolves played great defense but lost patience there at the end.

Most teams in the league are going to blow a coverage if you force three defensive rotations.

just MVParker taking the team on his back and being nice enough to include the goofy rocket in his highlight reel. no surprises here

That is corporate knowledge! Beautiful to see. Few teams have the luxury of a 10th man with this much sweat equity, comfort and understanding of their role, and humility to sit on the bench as much as Matty B. Love it!

that was great. Parker had a great game and Bonner with the usual underrated goods.

looks like love just assumes that tony wouldn't go to matty a 3rd time and just clogs the paint leaving matty wide open. thought bonner looked great last night.

Do not append such superlatives to this play, remember what team they were playing against.

It doesn't matter. As a basketball fan, it was really beautiful to watch.

The reason why Bonners 3 fg percentage is so high (despite being slow and awkward looking) is because he puts a lot of air under his shots (rainbow is the term i guess) so his shots have a wider radius (LARGER MARGIN OF error) than say a tim duncan line drive where he has to be virtually perfect. bonner can have an imperect shot still go in

It's still only worth 3 points. I'd be more impressed with some type of defensive effort vs. a championship caliber team.

True that. Good defense beats any offense. But one has to understand basketball to appreciate that fact.

I miss the 2003 defense.

I can see why the hordes become enamored with the ESPN highlights plays, I for one would rather watch Kawhii come up with an incredible defensive steal and/or block leading to a fast break basket anyday of the week.

Totally. The horde is stupid.
