He deserves it...outside of one game in 1969 they've never been more relevant than under his tenure. He's rebuilt that defense with great young talent and managed to go 8-8 with Curious Geno at the helm.

Rex is actually a very good coach considering the shit he's been given by his front office, so it's a good move by the Jets, tbh....

Rex is a great coach tbh. Good deal for him, if his offense was anywhere near average or above average, they would be a wildcard at worst

I agree. Rex deserved it. I watched the Jets play against Atlanta and New Orleans this season, and he outcoached them and won both those games with far less talent. Hell, the guy got 2 Mark Sanchez led teams to AFC title games.

i hate him as much as anybody in football. He deserved an extension though, even if i don't know how much say in fron office decisions does he have.

Supposedly, it's just a fake extension like Sanchez' was a couple of seasons ago. Ryan only has one year guaranteed.

The league is a more exciting place with Rex Ryan as a head coach. Solid signing, if not but to keep the Jets relevant in the media. That sounds terrible, but given the Jets' track record, it isn't as bad as it could be.
