View Full Version : Seattle gets away with so much BS
-Game Winning Interception pass last year
-Shitload of crowd noise for their fake 12th Man
-Wilson allowed to ground the ball intentionally without a flag
-Allowed to rough kickers and only get the 5 yard flag
-Allowed to maintain possession after losing fumbles
Seriously if they win this game I hope Peyton Manning sets them on fucking fire in two weeks.

The Wall Street Journal had a good article calling them out on it a few weeks ago ...
The Seahawks' Grabby Talons
Seattle's Defense Relies On a Brazen Tactic: Rampant Interference
The Seattle Seahawks—the favorites to make the Super Bowl out of the NFC—employ an exasperating defensive game plan: They blitz rarely and drop an army of defenders into pass coverage. And those defenders mug, obstruct and foul opposing receivers on practically every play.
NFL referees are reluctant to throw endless flags for pass interference and defensive holding, even if defenses deserve them.
"They look at it and say, 'We may get called for one but not 10,'" said Mike Pereira, a former NFL vice president of officiating who is now a Fox analyst.
"They just seem to not care about the rules," said New York Giants wide receiver Louis Murphy, whose team was routed 23-0 by Seattle this season.
Expect the no-calls to get worse in the playoffs. This season, NFL officials called 12.2 penalties a game, but in last week's wild-card round, they called 7.8. There has been a 41% drop in postseason penalties since the 2008 playoffs, while in the regular season, penalties are up 8.9% in that time.

no they wouldn't. not a chance in hell.
at least SF has some sort of an offense. Carolina has arguably the biggest gimmick QB in the history of NFL football.

the fumble call was pretty inconsequential to the game imo.
and is there anything other than "sound crew LOL" that somebody can bring up relating to seattle's crowd noise? i don't get where the "fake 12th man" thing comes from. does anybody have a link or proof or anything of that sort regarding artificial noise?

Saints had a younger overall team than the Panthers this season. They have more upside overall.

did you not see all those stupid ass "head butting" calls in the first possession. then the "pass interference" call in the second possession. how about not calling an illegal substitution on the play where vernon davis scored before the half, which results in a 15 yard penalty, where they likely would have kicked a field goal

No because he did the opposite this year than he did in year's past. He spread the ball more, trusted the running game. Brand new Peyton. I applaud him shedding his selfish ways.

glad to see Brady go down, not that I like rooting for Denver. the seahawks game was ugly. wilson struggled most of the game, and the seahawks had numerous beneficial calls. still, he made the big play for the gw touchdown, and refs or not, SF turned the ball over 3 straight possessions to close the game.
the worst blown call was the fumble, which was inconsequential since the Seahawks gave the ball up the next play anyway. karmic retribution on that one. still, the running into the punter could and should have gone the other way. the helmet-shoulder bad call led to a seattle punt anyway.
Why do you give a fuck? You're a Colts fan.
I know you're not insinuating I don't have a right to pull for the quarterback who played 14 years for my team, right? The Broncos can suck a duck, I just want Manning to win the Super Bowl. Some people in this thread probably aren't even 14 years old.

all that, and yet they called a ticky tack hold on Sherman in the first half while he and crabtree were both getting handsy to extend the SF drive which culminated in their only first half touchdown.
