The Rockets are going nowhere in the playoffs. But, the Spurs have way more problems than just injuries. Inability to rebound and horrible interior defense as soon as Duncan leaves will destroy this team in the playoffs. Been a problem all season so injuries are no excuse. Oh, and we're old as hell which never helps.

Gotta get everyone healthy come playoffs and see if we can somehow get back to the big dance. Pacers, Miami, and OKC all look substantially better than us though, even when healthy.

If Rockets are going nowhere we're in the same boat with them..

No time to panic... the Spurs obviously are going to struggle while they're missing their 3 starters, and it's going to be even more pronounced without the best bench player...

Priority 1 is getting healthy and go from there

It's kind of hard to judge them by what they do in the regular season. They struggled late in the regular season in 2011 and lost in the 1st round yet struggled late in the regular season last year and almost won a championship.

I honestly doubt Paper mache stays healthy same with Manu it's becoming a reoccuring thing from last season to this season same hammy situation. Green is going to have to find his stroke and Kawhi needs to be included in the offense.

Parker wilted when he needed to carry this team.

Carry-over from the Finals. Parker choked hard against the Heat when he was supposed to be our MVP. After the crushing loss, he went to play for France to make himself feel better. TP's not motivated for NBA ball anymore knowing he's not good enough to lead a team to a championship. The stark realization that he'll disappoint in the playoffs again is beginning to affect his regular season performances now. Summer couldn't come soon enough for Parker - much easier to win shitty FIBA tournaments no one cares about.

Everyone and their mom knew that the only chance for the Spurs to get back to the Finals was to develop Kawhi into a legit 2nd option. The entire team was bound to regress back to the mean. So what does Pop do? Leaves him as a corner 3 point shooter which he can't even hit now.

A little perspective here.

The Rockets just won the season series for the first time since the 1996-1997 season. Let that sink in.......

SA delivered a 22 game winning streak to the Rockets. Buying several big ticket free agents is allowing the Rockets to become relevant for the first time in almost 20 years.

As good as the long time Spurs player core has been, age and/or injuries will catch up with you at some point. That is the case right now.

The team needs first and foremost to get their roster back together again.

When injuries hit last year, the team was 10-10 the last 20 games, but they get healthy at the start of the playoffs and got rolling.....

It looks a little dicey this year.

Tell me about the draft picks the Spurs had at their disposal to help carry the load. Leonard is a really good player at 15, which is the highest draft pick the Spurs have in 17 years.

You could sign free agents, but the big three have been getting paid through 2 and 3 contracts now. Most NBA cores last five years at the most. This Spurs core has lasted more than twice that time.

Splitter got paid this summer as a key component of last years WC Champiinship team and he has not been as good this year. Last year he was focused and missed only one regular season game.

Leonard has also regressed some. Danny Green has regressed. These three guys are all in their 20s and should be shouldering more of the load when they get back.

Bonner is a bit player now at the end of the bench.

Too many GNSF think winning 50+ games and making regular deep playoff runs for the last 20 years is an easy thing to do. It's not.

The Rockets are now on their 3rd or 4th rebuild since TD arrived in SA and its actually working for once. Would you want to trade places with all the teams like Houston that were in the sewer for years? That's the best way to acquire rebuilding assets.

Look at the Celtics - tearing it down.

The Lakers have crashed and burned twice since Duncan got here now. They are in a world of hurt and tossed away their draft picks for Steve Nash of all people.

Gaping holes and not addressing issues... thinking that big 3 will continue to play at a level where those holes are not noticed.. Not having a legit backup SF but not even trying to sign someone to fill that hole. Signing Ayres? Too much for Splitter because we thought Portland wanted him who ended up getting Lopez for 11 mil less.

Your argument is lame when you resort to insults to make your point. The team had several ties to players in each of the past few seasons and came up empty handed each time. That's just frustrating when you have HOF players who need an extra boost to get another well-deserved title. And its because our aging players are playing well that the FO owes it to them to get them the help that they need.
