Great move if Bynum is motivated. Would be a solid backup for Hibbert.

Pacers are still scurred of Miami, literally signing players for the sole purpose of keeping them away from the Heat :lmao

Honestly I don't hate Heat just think you are a retard along with the rest of their fake fan base. I bet you weren't even a fan of them during the Smith,Seikaly,Rice era.

I wouldn't say that, Heat never showed interest in Bynum to begin with, it wasn't a tug of war by any means. They were simply confident Oden will bring them value come playoff time.

I can co-sign that Timmy2Zo has been a Heat fan since at least 2000, tbh..probably longer, but I can only confirm up to 2000..

I agree, he's probably been a Giants fan pre-Manning and Phillies fan for a long time.

If he feels like he wants to play basketball, Miami is in trouble.. Big Drew is the best big in the game if healthy, and is motivated, PJAX got the best out of him.

It's true.. but I doubt he's going to be motivated.

Indy probably won't even need Bynum to beat Miami this year tbh..

Low risk, medium-high reward for Indiana if they sign him wisely. What could happen to him at worst? He'll be at the end of the Indiana bench and at the back of the bus. If he pans out for them then he'll back up Hibbert and Indiana's second five will even be more potent.

Bynum should sign back with the Lakers imho. dude already has rings so he doesn't need to coattail ride an already-stacked team only to win a few more the Gary Payton way. There're many LA fans who still love him, and the Lakers are pretty thin in the paint this season so he would get considerable playing time in the Lakers rotation, which would help him get back his form and earn himself another big contract come the end of the season imho.

"We are obviously happy to have him join our team," said Pacers president of basketball operations Larry Bird in a release. "He gives us added size, he is a skilled big man and he has championship experience. With the minutes he gets, he should be a valuable addition."
The Pacers, who have a roster spot open, have $2.1 million left of their midlevel exception, and they could use some or all of it on Bynum. But the Pacers are roughly $1.8 million below the luxury-tax threshold, and Bird has said repeatedly they do not plan to pay the luxury tax.

Things goes south, West and Hibbert will bully that nigga up. I also believe Bird, like Phil will have a huge impact on Bynum, at least for this year. Indiana HAS ZERO reasons not to win this season tbh.

Bynum will have the motivation to go for another title, imo. He could really help Indy out against Miami.

I can't believe there's people who still think Andrew Bynum's broken down ass will ever be a rotation player on a contender....

He played 24 games before Cleveland traded him and he got bought out. He had some decent games. Averaged 8 & 5 in only 20 mpg, started out rusty but got better with time, until Mike Brown stopped giving him so many minutes, had a couple 20 and 10 games, including a game with 20 pts 10 reb 3 ast 5 blk, he can still play.

I think it was a good signing for Indy. Worst case he breaks down and they're still a threat to Miami, best case he plays some valuable back-up minutes and helps Indy beat Miami.

Good move imho, too many question marks around Bynum though. Motivation, health, will he fuck Vogel's wife etc.

Please, every time the going gets rough Bird quits. I had to Google the bastard to make sure he was back on board before I called him everything but a white man.

Not sure why you guys are complaining about him coming back after 7. If he came back after 6 it wouldn't be as epic.. but the old man wisely chose to post "a single drop of rain" RIGHT AFTER Ducan's missed layup :lol...

perfectly written script, tbh...

Agree. Bynum never ruins the locker room chemistry and he's only signed for vet min, so he doesn't pose no threat either to the team's chemistry or financial flexibility. This signing will only help with their odd of taking down Miami, and even in the worst scenario the Pacers would just need to play Hibert extensive minutes when things matter most. Now the pacers have a rotation of bigs that would make every other team begrudge imho, with Hibert/Bynum/Scola/West.
