As we all know there is no AFC team with that offense/defense combo to deal with the Niners, Green Bay and of course Seattle. Their stud QB;'s are old, Andrew Luck is a turnover machine and Andy Dalton is a fucking joke. Hell Big Ben and the Steelers could be the best team there next season. So it all comes down to what NFC team can put the Seahawks on the road in the playoffs, they aren't losing at home as we know. That isn't looking good.
If Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin can stay healthy, they manage to keep that D intact ($$$$$) and maybe add a speed back to the offense who can stop them from winning next season and the following season and.........
Pete Carroll mentioned trying to duplicate what those old Lombardi Packer teams did, which was....win the turnover battle, stuff the run, run, pressure the QB and play smart. As we can see this..ya gotta throw the ball...is a load of bullshit, no you do not..gotta throw the ball. Nobody here has a clue who those Packer receivers were back in the day, why?
Bart Starr was a master, he didn't fuck up, fullback Jim Taylor was a bull, they had a defense with a HOF at ever level. Nine future HOFer on those teams. Then here come those 70 Steelers, once again a stud D, a great running back. The 85 Bears...Walter Payton and a monster D. All Pete Carroll has done is go back in time to playing big big man football, run the ball, play monster D and don't fuck up.
Barring injuries to key personal I can see this Seahawk team winning at least two more Superbowls in the next five years. With the Niners winning the rest:hat

What does N.O. need to stay up at the elite level and win the NFC South next season?
Don't change a thing in home games. Let it fly and light up the scoreboard en route to 8-0 record.
Better game planning by the coaches for road games. Stop being so pass happy on the road, especially when playing in the elements. The Saints proved near the end of the season that they could pound the ball on the road. Also, better defensive play on the road when it matters the most, on final possessions. Two losses came on the final possession when we needed 1 stop. Payton's clock management can be blamed for letting those teams get a final possession in the first place, but you also have to tighten up on D when it matters the most.

Marino didn't play a full season in year one. Focus on being more balanced on offense and shoring up their secondary. The D-line is beasting and they have enough at the skilled positions, but they need to make it a bit easier for Brees and the o-line which is average overall. They need to find a way to keep their RT Zach Strief and continue to get more out of their RBs Ingram and Khry Robinson. I think Pierre Thomas is gone.

We all know that which is my point. RW has walked in and played his first 32 games, something Marino didn't do. He had a better rookie year, tying NFL records. He had a higher QB rating and nobody has won more games in their first two seasons.
BUT...here you are having to talk ..DAN MARINO..in order to finda comparision, what's they tell us about Russell Wilson? Marino was a rookie behind a guy who was a starter in the Super Bowl and took over halfway thru the season and lit up opposing defenses as a rookie. How many rookie QBs did that back in those days? No one did that outside Marino and yet you claim you know your history. Plus, passing the football was way more difficult back in those days when the rules didn't favor the offenses. Marino basically carried the Dolphins to the Super Bowl and lost to an All-time great Niners team. You think RW would have had a chance against that team with the same roster? You don't think Marino would put up huge numbers playing in this era?
Dude shut the fuck up sometimes. You don't know what the fuck you're talking up. You are a fucking clown.

Why not use Joe Montana, Brett Favre, John Elway, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Johnny Unitas, Otto Graham, Slingin' SAmmy Baugh......WELL????????? How about RGIII....hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!! How about Andrew Luck..hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That same Seahawks team went 8-8 with fucking Tavaris Jackson. You don't think anyone of those QBs could have walked in with that roster and won a ton of games in this era where the league is more QB friendly than ever? Why is it so hard for you to put things in context and perspective? Are you disabled mentally?

Dude, I saw Marino play at fucking Pitt, so cool your bullshit...ok? The bottom line is he didn't play in as many games and he didn't throw as many tds. Another bottom line little guy is look at what it's taking to talk a comparison, the great DAN MARINO!!!!!!!!! That doesn't tell you something moron?

Barring injuries to key personal I can see this Seahawk team winning at least two more Superbowls in the next five years. With the Niners winning the rest:hat
Ok, the reason you're a stupid old fuck is that you're not factoring in Wilson and Kap's contracts.
They're literally getting paid peanuts in salary terms. How are they going to add or keep anyone once they get their piece of the pie.
It remains to be seen if Wilson can carry a team if they need it. I'm currently going with "no, he can't".

Dude, have you ever seen any NFL (even in your youngun days) team who couldn't add players? And neither franchise is in dire need of anything. When have the Niners not been able to sign players...well? Ttust me little man these are the two franchises that will rule things for awhile.
And there is no logical reason of any kind to not think RW could excell in any situation, only a dummy would think that.

I think we need to get rid of all the veterans on defense outside of Lofton, Lewis, and Hawthorne, and Bunkley I guess. Get rid of Harper, Greer, Vilma, Smith.
Resign Jenkins. He bounced back well this season. Get another CB and move White back to the nickel. The d-line is stacked for a long time.
On offense, get a new center, re-sign Strief. Skilled positions are fine otherwise.

That seems like what the Seahawks had to do from last year to this year. Could be possible with a good/great defense that the Saints have. What's the deal with Jabari Greer? Is he the no.1 CB on your squad? I don't follow to closely, but he seemed to really lead that secondary.
Did they Franchise Jimmy Graham. I know Pierre Thomas is gone from my FF league...

Doesn't matter you guys had homefield. You didn't go any further. Lost in the same round you stupid fuck and with a closer margin on the road at Seattle while you guys lost by double digit at home. Oh please blaming injuries is weak. Every time has injuries. The Saints had 6 starters on defense who had season ending injuries but that doesn't mean shit. At the end of the day, your offense couldn't score on the goal line when it mattered which is the reason why your team got beat down on its home field. But either way, it didn't matter who won the South since Seattle was going to win it all anyway once they got homefield. But your team has alot more holes than the Saints and Brees is a way better passer than Newton will ever be. Panthers don't even scare me next season. Typical one year wonders.

What holes do the Saints have?
You guys aren't better than the Saints. The two head to head meetings proved that when the Saints beat down the Panthers in NOLA and lost on a last second TD in Charlotte despite having way more yardage. Saints currently has a better secondary, WRs, better TEs, much better QB, better o-line, probably better RBs, and an equal d-line. The only advantage the Panthers have is LBs. That's it.

Notice how whenever the Saints lose all Saints fans say are "we dominated the game, more yards :cry". That's because your system is made for that. You guys suck at executing, and Brees is just not clutch anymore. In fact, he is anti-clutch.

Stupid comment. Steve Smith is not and has never been injury-proned nor has he ever taken PED's. He's still better than any WR NO will ever have in their life. He didn't need a system to win the triple crown, something a NO receiver will never achieve.

Saints don't need an elite WR to win a Super Bowl.
And compare how much bigger Smith was after his 2004 season ending surgery. Huge difference. Plus, alot more roid rage incidents.
He was a skinny punt returner when he entered the league in 2001.

I didn't say he will be better than Brees. I said he has the potential to be better than Brees is now. i don't see how you can make this point given how his long throw has been basically nonexistent in the whole season. The trend is to hide Cam's incapability to throw not to expose it. He threw for 4k yards his first two seasons.. so I don't know what makes you think he cannot throw. His first two years he threw more touchdowns from verticals routes than any other QB. What made the Panthers better was to focus on the run game.. but also to be more conservative for the ball. Cam would throw 30-35 times a game his first two years. We don't need that. We have 50 mill on our running core not including Tolbert or Cam.

first off, throwing for x yards says little about one's ability to throw. Being conservative is exactly what your team is trying to do and that means to give cam as little responsibilities as possible. But a player with little responsibilities is not a star or whatever. You can just look at the throw distance stats on ESPN... Cam's numbers on his long balls were good his first two years. Their offense was neutered this year compared to 2011 or 2012. They won with their defense, not through putting a leash on Cam.
I mean who would willingly want to run the corpse of DeAngelo Williams more? But when the alternative is Cam throwing to a hurt Greg Olson and 34 year old Steve Smith...you don't have a lot of options.
