I agree, this was one of the best regular season Spurs wins in a long time, tbh..

No Leonard and Manu, no Parker for the 2nd half, down 15 or whatever, Wizards making an abundance of crazy shots, refs giving them a lot of calls(Nene, in particular), Duncan with a throwback 3rd quarter, and to top it off, recovering after choking at the end of OT, tbh..

this Wizards team is surprisingly good, they are all tall, black and quick, so their perimeter defence is good

they just don't seemed well coached on offense, but they have good shooters so it doesn't really matter.. if they are underdogs in their first playoff matchup I'll make some bets

the Parker injury actually helped though, given Wall's productivity when Parker was on.. maybe Mills making big shots will make Parker insecure and practice more defence. I mean, he's quick and mobile, why the fk can't he defend these days?

Yeah it was a solid, character-nurturing win. Maybe it helps strengthen our 2nd and 3rd units moving forward.

The matador defense & sloppy passes from Timmy say otherwise, IMO.

If they avoid Miami or Indiana they have a great chance for a first round upset.

Awesome game. Lots of players stepped up. In fact, the last three games were nice for the team to go through.

Love Timmy's honesty (and no sarcasm in his response) about his 6th foul.

Paraphrasing a bit here so relax:

Reporter: Did you get your moneys worth on your 6th foul?

Timmy: No, it was a terrible call. The ref completely blew it. He had my arm. I don't know what he was thinking

Reporter asks: Did you feel you had to take over in the 3rd quarter?

Timmy: I knew Pop was about to pull the plug with a game tomorrow night so yeah, I knew I had to do something quick.

Hope Timmy doesn't get fined for trashing that call though. But judging from how light Noah got off after telling each ref F*** Y** I don't really see that happening.

Loved that Pop decided to stick with the starters. They needed confidence much more than rest. There's little point in conceding games when they are so deep in their rotation. Everyone but Baynes got playing time, and they were better for it.

This game showed all what the Spurs are about - perhaps not the sloppy mistakes - but without them the game would not have been this great!

Maybe not Ayers. I just checked the box score and saw that he got 6 minutes. I completely forgot he even played.

They'll be conceding tonight's game. Early word is that Parker is out, and likely Duncan, too, since he played 41 minutes.

This was an awesome game to watch. The Spurs didn't play much defense in the first half, but they really stepped it up later in the game. I thought Wittman called some excellent side-out-of-bounds plays in the last 2 minutes with John Wall cutting around double screens. Cory was found wanting & with no help.

Hopefully Patty, Cory, Beli, Tiago and even Timmy learn how to inbound the ball to beat gambling pressure.

would much rather get the huge win last night, putting the exclamation point on the last three games, even if it basically means tossing tonight in BKN with parker and duncan likely sitting out.

Our bench might give the Nets a game. Pop has been playing Tim in some b2b games, but with the double OT maybe not. Glad TP might be resting.
