lol taking another topic from realgm

i explain to you what happen

from 98/99-07/08
after the first championship, spurs started to rebuild with its ageing roster after duncan blow out his knee, what hurt the spurs was ****** and avery retiring all of sudden
dont forget during the lakers 3peat there was 4-5 really strong contenders out west who couldve won it all if not for injuries or h2h against teams who always had their number
during that time also spurs had alot of guys who mainly 1yr rentals, cant do shit or build any team chemistry going forward

only during 01/02 the spurs started to get its act together and rebuilded through the draft
02/03 spurs dethrown the lakers with a core they had develop for 2 seasons to go forward with
03/04 FO didnt resign jax which costs them big time and it showed in the playoffs, fkn relying on a turk and again 1yr rentals to replace jax departure was fkn stupid who later left in FA,
04/05 had they kept the core from the 03 team, they would be meshing and starting to hit their peaks/prime together, still got the job done
05/06 i think this was the year duncan played with PF all season, still beasted against the mavs
06/07 spurs got the job done

forgot what year the spurs draft ghill, but he did have a really good rookie RS with his defensive assignments only to see pop bench him in the playoffs not playing a single minute...it was fkn stupid move by him
it happen to another rookie later down the line with same bullshit move in the playoffs...i think it was either kawhi or blair...those 2 failed campaigns was all pops fault when the following season for their sopho years, he decides to play them and spurs advance...once again overrated coach with his mind games trying to beat himself

03/04 season could be the most overrated season with the lakers 4hof roster and kg wolves, those 2 teams were nothing special, especially the kg wolves who peaked for a better team record when guys like shaq missed 20-30 games and duncan missing around 12 games, yet the wolves only finished ahead of these 2 teams by a margin of 3-4 wins only, then KG winning mvp...was he deserving we dont know, but if shaq or duncan wasnt injured, the playoffs seeding would be different and both teams would meet later then earlier as planned...either guy couldve won mvp that year

:lol RealGM

All that sounds like excuses, great teams with great players repeat as champs.

Pau 1
Duncan 0

if you get through the grammar, that was actually a solid post. the other rookie you are referring to was blair, who inexplicably saw his minutes decline in the playoffs. although its a common theory that Blair was just a minutes-eater during the regular season where he could score some and rebound some to keep Duncan fresh, but his defense/size wasn't trusted in the postseason

Because Manu fouled Dirk.

theres 2 oxymorons on the spurs who need to get the blame, popabitch for not going raw into his pgs ass and tell the wanker to stop enrique and defer to the hot hand

all those series losses last few season duncan has been monster in those elimination games especially in the first halfs where he carried the team from slow starts, only to see enrique mode not feeding the hot hand in the 2nd half, there were games where duncan only had 3-4 fga in the 2nd half of elimination games, enrique needs to get most of the blame

dont forget when he broke his hand hahaha

too many bullshit i can bring up about enrique, and the mismanagement of jax that wouldve come in handy

remember jax is the ultimate team mate, the same cant be said about enrique
