What in the world is wrong with that club? First firing the coach after one season and having no one to replace him. Then hiring the coachkngw staff before the HC. Now waiting until all the good candidates are gone to fire a GM whom you just hired last year and who's done about as well as expected in one year and being under an impatient owner.

In Haslem, the Browns might have the league's worst owner in my memory.

Yeah he turned chicken shit into chicken salad with that trade, and assembled a roster that probably would have had a shot at a WC spot if they had a shred of competence at QB.

He lucked into a good trade, but no good coach wanted to deal with such a dysfunctional FO, and he and Banner embarrassed themselves at the Senior Bowl by creeping out all the prospects :lol

This is why the Browns will never be relevant. I hope Gordon leaves that shithole when he hits FA. We could use him in Baltimore but because of Flacco's shitty contract we probably won't be able to.

I think this was a good move. I didn't dislike Banner and Lombardi as much as a lot of Browns fans but they were clearly an extremely divisive pair and were becoming more of a liability than an asset. I know they made the T-Rich deal but a trained monkey could have made that trade, tbh.

As for replacements for Banner and Lombardi, they were able to promote from in-house with people (Alec Scheiner and Ray Farmer) who are arguably better qualified and definitely more well-liked and respected than the guys they replaced. According to what I've read this move actually makes re-signing Alex Mack and T.J. Ward more likely than before. So it isn't as if the entire organization is being blown up.
