Hey TSA, for work, do you use iTrade or a similar type service? Thanks.

Indeed. SPS commerce as well.

Have you been satisfied with iTrade? How do they compare with SPS?

They both have their positives and negatives, depending on which customer is using them. iTrade seems to have a lot of transmission delays. I prefer to do business on the phone.

So if you do "business on the phone" do the iTrade/SPS subscribers still use the system to cut POs, or is that a manual process?

All customers that use iTrade/SPS send over orders/PO's through said system. The dialogue with these customers is minimal compared to talking every day to brokers/vendors in the terminal markets around the country who are seeking pricing every day.

No prob. You thinking of implementing one of the systems?

We're currently using iTrade for establishing vendor cost/qty and to create demand plans/cut pos for produce, but I'm looking to give the buyers more visibility into the supply chain and provide better forecasting based on POS. So looking to expand on what we have. Just wondering what vendors think of the system from their end.

Even though the guy is giving his speech at a gun control hearing he touches on much more and has seen oppressive governments first hand.

Back to hijacking the thread....

What in the produce business do you do and how exactly would iTrade give the buyer more visibility into the supply chain?

Speaking of becoming more transparent in the supply chain do you deal at all with Whole Foods and have you seen what they are starting to implement? A buyer at a store will be able to track exactly where and when their fruit was picked by scanning a bar code, all the way to the grove itself, which is then rated by Whole Foods based on a farming practices. We're one of the first doing it and it sounds like a real pain in the ass, especially considering all the fruit we import from Mexico, Chile, and Peru.

Give me a few and I'll answer this via PM. Should have taken that route initially tbh.

Gun fellatio circle jerk....He's shoveling the same kind of bull that the right has been shoveling since the Joe McCarthy days. We don't need Martinez's kind of paranoia because it isn't base on facts. I would ask Mr Martinez one question. If the goal of the left is to take away everyone's guns, why is it then that when the Democrats have controlled both congress and the white house, no effort has ever been made to pass comprehensive gun control? Martinez has bought into the same BS that convinced people even before Sandy Hook that Obama was trying to outlaw guns even though he has never taken steps to do so,,

And my question for you is, why haven't you provided a link to the text of the law being considered in Oregon? How the hell is expanding the background checks to all sales other than between family members a road to Marxism?

My question for you is, did you ever live in Cuba at the time Mr. Martinez did?
