View Full Version : Mavs: Dirk Nowitzki..

Do you guys think he's underrated, from an all-time perspective, tbh?..

Even today, he's still a top 10 player in the league at his age, which is legendary..

While Durant and Lebron are the new faces of hybrid dominance, Dirk was the original hybrid mismatch of the modern era, tbh..a king of kings..

Spurfan will always respect _irk. Tim and Dirk could never guard each other. He's simultaneously one of my
favorite players and least favorite players because of how great he was, and how great he was against the spurs

Casual fans keep claiming he's just a one hit wonder in '11, despite the fact that he's had 5 better playoff performances (2009 vs Denver, 2006 vs Suns and Spurs, 2002 vs Minny, 2010 vs Spurs) than that one, tbh...

Really, he's only had 2 lows in his playoff career: 06 Finals and the GSW series... but they'll call him a choker anyway

Talent wise, one of the greatest shooters the league has ever seen at his prime. Not much drive though, maybe that's because of how Cuban keeps shitting on team chemistry by blowing it up. Hard to say, but I think he's got another one in him.

^ truth told, DMC :tu We'll be revamped and restacked after the 14' offseason with several big FA signings (Kyrie Irving, for example)

Overrated, atleast on ST. Have never seen spurfan suck off a one-way player the way they do Dirk tbh.

Dirk is a beast, but he's going to have to leave Dallas if he wants to ring again, because Cuban and Donnie have reverted back to their pre-2011 habits of surrounding him with bad contracts and flawed teams, tbh....

Pau Gasol

MVPau gets alot of love too but hes never been considered a Top 15 player of all-time or better than players like KG who are clearly superior tbh.

He really wasn't even that bad in the Finals, aside from the missed FT. He would have had among the most legendary shots in history to win game 5 in OT, if it wasn't for Wade getting a very generous call on the other end shortly after.

I look at Dirk play now and he reminds me of the Tin Man. His knees look so rickety I want to go out with a
oil can and give each one a shot or two. He can still shoot though but not to much of a jumper now........
Dirk will never live down falling for that skank.........

Nope, ST just really enjoys slurping off Dirk. Google polls from other sites and the overwhelming majority agree with me.

We have gone over this before tbh.

Borderline Top 25 player of all-time and Top 5 PF of all-time is reasonable for Diggler. Anything higher is just absurd tbh.

Lee is the absolute worst post defender in the league tbh.

Always respected the shit out of Dirk. Wouldn't mind seeing him get another ring as long as it isn't at the expense of the Spurs.

Diaw is probably the most underrated player in the league tbh.

That's because he's an underachiever, par for the French tbh

He's capable of much more, he just chooses not to do it. Same with a lot of high talent in the league, their ceiling is their approach to the game, not their abilities.

Not as if they did anything special in 2011, it's just that a certain center (I forgot his name) that we probably should've re-signed in hindsight, happened to have a career year/be the missing piece when most people thought he would be a mid-season trade chip. Not to mention JJ Barea turned out to be a functional NBA player. That was a cool little plus as well

We just felt that we had a point to prove and we did it. The Pacers almost swept the entire west including Spurs, OKC and even the Guest team, yet tonight we defeated them... Proud of them boys in blue :cry

pretty much agree on this one tbh. The fact that most French people are underachievers doesn't mean they can't do better, but that they don't want to. The could've done a better job fighting the Wehrmacht during the battle of France but they'd rather flee away and surrender, so the lives of Americans, instead of theirs, would be lost during the invasion or Normandy and following battles.

And Marion is still a solid defender even at age 35. He's like our version of Bruce Bowen except that he doesn't break other players' ankles on purpose.
