This top rank doesn't surprise me. Like the article says small markert, without other pro team in the city to support, and sure, Spurs have the most passionate fans.

One thing you never want to hear as a Spurs fan is OKC local fan bases is better than your fan bases, but you know...the main reason for that is Kevin Durant.

Yep, until they dno't have Lebron anymore or are not winning, then they go back to not caring at all like they do with the Dolphins.

Heat fans are horrible. I remember seeing games on TV during the 90's when they had Glen Rice and Seikaly and seeing the arena only filled up with 2-3 thousand fans. Even when they had ZO and Hardaway they had a hard time selling out for games.

Also like the Spurs they are the only pro team in town.

The Thunderefs will plummet to last on that list once Durant bolts, tbh....

Have you seen their Facebook page? They have more 'likes' than traditional fan bases like the Packers, Cowboys, 49ers, and so on. Ridiculous when you think about it.

Spurs fanbase, like the team, will be more consistent in the long run. Both OKC and Heat are the trendy team with the best players in the league. Once their superstars leave or retire, they will lose a lot of fans. Shit, Spurs don't even really have a superstar. Duncan but he's old and Parker is....pretty good.

They have very little real fans! Those fake fans will have a new team in a few years and we know it. I can't take any of their fans seriously here, they can say they were fans for a while and this and that but I look at ALL of them in you are a fake fan light.

I hate fairweather fans, swear to GOD when I see a fan and he says he is a fan of those teams I just automatially put up a red flag and say this dude is not serious. I know that sounds wrong but it's how I feel.

The spurs are an easy choice but they haven't been tested for like 2 decades. The spurs have been competitive since the admiral arrived. I think you need to see a fan base during tough seasons to evaluate them
