The media will try to create a rivalry but there has to be more of a history for there to be rivalry. I don't think anyone would ever say he is close to Tims legacy yet man. Do they own the older Spurs now? Maybe they do, but they would not fair well against the PRIME SPURS IMO of the 00's. Different day and age now, the older Spurs they might do well against.
