Already the worst All Star weekend ever?

This All Star weekend is shaping up to be one the worst ever. This Saturday Night All Star was the worst in my opinion. The dunk, 3 point, and skills challenge were horrible. Players weren't give a fuck to try to win or at least compete. The whole East vs West idea was a joke. The judging of the dunk contest was laughable. The 3 point contest was terrible. Joe Johnson acted like he didn't give a fuck and the scores were shitty. How many times did a player get in the 20s?
We haven't even seen the All Star game and this is already shaping up to be the worst All Star weekend ever.

Belli won and Curry choked. Reggie once again was made to look like a fucking idiot by slamming Belli on his first few shots because he shot an airball. Pretty decent outcome to the 3pt contest. The dunk contest is always a joke.

It should be just an all star game, nothing else. I get everyone wants to spend the weekend there but they should play the ASG on Saturday and have Sunday off, then start the 2nd half of the season on Monday.

I'd like to see the 3pt format change to remove ball racks and institute a teammate passing the ball to the shooter. That's how it is in the game. No one picks the ball up using that awkward movement and shoots it.

They need to just dump all this new crap and go back to the old format. Fuck the Skills Challenge and the Shooting Stars and the East vs West and the Money Ball Racks and the Dunk Battles.

Go back to the original format, start bringing in stars again, and shit would become watchable.

Unfortunately though, all the suits in charge of making these decisions would rather go for more ad dollars rather than protecting the integrity of the event. They keep incorporating more of these new rules every year, and that trend is only going to continue. Hell, the analysts on TNT were talking up the new format at the end, acting like it wasn't a pile of steaming crap.

and the game would be even shittier imho because the majority of all-star players know their teams wouldn't have no chance to make the NBA finals (like the East this year) so they'd intentionally flunk the game only to LOL @ the teams who're expected to make the finals (Heat and Pacers). So you'll only see 3-4 players from each side going all out, playing the game 100% devotedly, with the rest players coasting like asses (if not bungling the game intentionally)
