The Brooklyn Nets (http://fromrussiawithdunk.com?utm_source=FanSided&utm_medium=Network&utm_campaign=InPost) are doing what they can to secure a trade for Los Angeles Lakers (http://lakeshowlife.com?utm_source=FanSided&utm_medium=Network&utm_campaign=InPost) power forward Jordan Hill (http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hilljo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-fansided.com), but the Cleveland Cavaliers (http://rightdowneuclid.com?utm_source=FanSided&utm_medium=Network&utm_campaign=InPost) want in.
That’s the word from Marc Stein of ESPN (https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/436251393477705728) who says the Cavs are attempting to trade for Hill before the Nets complete a deal with the Lakers.
Hearing now that Cavs have strongly emerged as team trying to trump BKN and acquire Jordan Hill from Lakers. Looks like Cavs & Nets for Hill
It’s a bit of an odd fit for the Cavaliers given Hill isn’t really a center and Cleveland has multiple lengthy power forward types.
That said, Hill is a free agent at season and is relatively cheap and shouldn’t cost the Cavaliers much of anything.
It’s going to be difficult for Cleveland to beat the Nets offer of a disabled player exception though considering the Lakers aren’t interested in taking any salary back.
That said, it appears to be down to a two-team race for Hill moving forward.
