AND SLOWLY health is coming back to this team! Let Tony rest longer because we have some soldiers in here to win the games at hand right now and stay afloat at the #2 seed. Kawhi coming back will be big though, especially on D.

I'm really excited for Leonard coming back. I think all the people who are shortchanging the team have forgotten how much better having the full Medium Three makes them.

That said, Kawhi's been cleared for a couple of days. Pop's just been cautious about him. Leonard may not play Friday.

Proud of the way the Spurs have battled through. Good chance we could return to home with 7-2. Also widened the gap over the Clippers (+ winning the season series) and Portland (who continue to struggle of late) As Bruno mentioned Parker could have as many as 16 days off if he returns the game following the RRT.

The multiple team injuries is a blessing in disguise.

Our roleplayers got some time in the spotlight and shined.

Now we will feel ultra confident with a full lineup

I hope he's OK, don't want Leonard to play until he's at 90-100%, he has missed too many games -13th straight games- to risk him getting injured again

He is very important ... I thin it was the Clippers announcers that stated that the Spurs still had winning records when either of the Big Three were missing, but without Kawhi it was 6-6 ... of course now its 8-6, but still I am happy that the defense will improve again with him on the floor

Great news. This season has really gone to highlight the exceptional role players the Spurs have managed to gather. Guys like Splitter, Green, and even Leonard catch a lot of flack around here for not doing more...but we all just laid witness to what happens when you remove them from the team. Without these glue guys, the system quickly starts to fall apart. Sure, you can insert different pieces and move them around and it kinda looks like the Spurs...but more like the 2009-2011 Spurs, not the Spurs that almost dethroned the Heat last season. Their defense makes up most of the difference, but even their subtle offensive firepower is missed amongst the starting unit.

Now if Parker can take this time to get healthy, and the Spurs can get everybody back together and into the flow, they can try to get this season back on the rails.

Either the finger is healed or not ... its not like a hamstring injury where every extra day of rest helps you a lot. I hope he plays, because he needs to get into playoff shape ...

Just pray his shooting doesn't dip down even MORE with a bum hand.

"We wrote on Tuesday that Kawhi Leonard was given medical clearance to participate in practice, and that his return to game action may not be far off. Today, we have a clearer idea of when that might actually happen.

According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, Leonard is "likely returning" to the San Antonio lineup for Friday's game against Phoenix.

After a rash of injuries in January that left Leonard, Danny Green, Tiago Splitter and Manu Ginobili sidelined, Leonard's return will have the Spurs as close to full strength as they've been in months, with one notable exception -- Tony Parker."

Great news. Hopefully they are able to rest Parker until March, no need for him with these upcoming games, and those wins in LA/Por were huge as well.

Wednesday can't come any quicker :( It sucks that he still has pain in his hand though! If that's the case, just wait.

The pain makes sense, IIRC Danny mentioned he was still had pain in his hand, & played through it, Kawhi needs to toughen up, tbh.

Well, unlike Danny, Kawhi broke his shooting hand, such different things. You can use both hands to hold the ball, but only your shooting hand'll propel the ball forward, it means dribbling, shooting, even rebounding. This injury doesn't affect only the mechanics of the ability to throw, could negatively impact his overall play.

Remember Love's hand injury last season. He broke his shooting hand in the preseason, he returned faster than expected, played a few games and then he reinjured his hand.

Leonard needs to recover fully, if his hand isn't healed all the way would be better that Kawhi not play.

Agreed 100%. Health should be the #1 concern atm. No newest to bring him back before he's ready.
