There is rumor that Jalen Rose will be cut by the Toronto Raptors. If so, would you be in favor of him coming to SA? If so, would he demand minutes and disrupt the chemistry? Or would it work out?

Hell no!! Let it go people, Rose no longer has a spot on this team. We already have all our bigs so he would maybe take the spot of marks(which is in street clothes every game)

We're talking about Jalen Rose, not Malik Rose. Freaking idiot!

Lol, they both suck anyways!!One rose is to many in my opinion.

That was classic dude. I think Jalen would be a good pick up if he came cheap. He can shoot period!

He'd be a nice scorer off the bench, and I don't think he would hurt chemistry. He seems likeable and wants to play for a winner. He was hoping the raptors would trade him last year at the deadline. I'd want him on the cheap also.

If I remember correct, he was praising SA when they were in the playoffs and Finals when he was reporting for Fox.

Jalen would be a great addition IMO. 18.5 ppg last season, not too shabby. He'd bring an excellent scoring presence off the bench, and given the fact he has verbally expressed he wants to play for a winner, I doubt he'd have a problem playing sixth man.

I still think Robert Horry would be the sixth man even if Jalen were to join the Spurs. That being said, Jalen is a good shooter and the Spurs could do with some consistent scoring off the bench.
Heck, Jalen is the kind of guy who'd take a low salary to try to get a ring. Where better to go than the defending champs?

I'd take Jalen Rose. The Spurs don't exactly have a lot of room, so getting a player of his caliber would be nice. Off the bench, he could play the 1, 2 or the 3. He's also had some nice moments in the playoffs.
I think he's a good player who played better as the year went on last season. I wouldn't pencil him in as much more than the 9th or 10th player in the rotation, but he's a veteran that would make sense in the same way that guys like Sprewell, Van Exel, Finley and even Doug Christie would make sense.
Getting veterans to fill out the end of the bench who want to win a ring is the way the Spurs do business. Those five players fit into that category.

I was always thinking that Christie would be a good pickup if he was let go by his team, we know he can play defense and occasionally have a good shooting night and like timvp said both him and rose both want to win a ring, and there is no better place to go than SA
and on that subject; you see teams like Miami that are basically starting over from scratch picking up new players; in my opinion the spurs are the only team with enough experience to win games with a brand new team, heck we did it for the past couple of seasons already

His game has really nosedived in the last year or so, plus, he has that bitch wife. I could never stand to watch him do that thing a hundred times a game. Just say no to Christie.

If Jalen Rose wanted to come to SA for what little they have left, sign him up. Spurs fans' selectivity is quite amusing.

I wouldnt mind J Rose. I would rather have SA sign NVE though. But J Rose aint too bad either.

After watching Doug Christie pussy-signal his wife for all of one game, I'd be tired enough with it to drive from Dallas to SA just to beat him up myself.
That's the lamest shit ever. If you thought the mermaid shit got old, just think about a guy who is softer than a mermaid being on our team and signing his wife 39,492 times a game.
No thanks.

There's a reason why Jalen Rose has been passed around the league. He had a decent run in Indiana, but even then they figured what a headcase he is on the court. Demands the ball and takes a lot of shots. I'm wondering when Spurs fans will realize they can't format bad players' brains and just get the talent.

Mr Body doesn't want this guy.
SUPRISE!!!!
If you bring in Jalen, he immediately is the 6th man off the bench coming in for Ginobili.
Jalen can play some defense too when motivated, and around a team like the Spurs?? That woul be motivation.
If I remember right, Jalen has been to the Finals with Indiana and played pretty damn well with them..
If you can bring Jalen in with the rest of the MLE? Id do it.
Id be more inclined to sign Jalen than Glenn Robinson.
A tick younger maybe, but his versatility would be fantastic.

Cuz I'm pretty smart about these players. Things like chemistry and the locker room matter.
Rose isn't a guy who'll sit on a bench somewhere. He thinks he can star in this league.
Prolly ain't even on the Spurs' dry erase boards unless there's a "No Freakin' Way" column.
For the record, a Doug Christie would be far more likely a target.

Yeah he was screwing up the chemistry in that Indiana Pacers locker room in 2000.

uhhh, ok, but, that was in a deal to get Ron Artest and Brad Miller
Rose hasn't caused that many, if at all problems come on.
Its Jalen Rose not Dennis Rodman.
