A Staten Island man was charged with harassment for allegedly threatening the life of New York Knicks owner James Dolan, according to several reports.
John Giamella, 19 -- whom the New York Daily News identifies as the son of a New York City police officer -- was arrested Friday for allegedly making threats via his Twitter account.
Dolan, the chairman of Madison Square Garden and owner of the New York Rangers, also is a member of the family that owns cable TV giant Cablevision.
"James Dolan, it's officially time to die," Giamella allegedly tweeted. Police said that was followed by a tweet, "Death to James Dolan."
Police say Giamella also posted photos showing himself naked and holding a gun, according to several reports.
The head of security at Madison Square Garden picked up on the threats and alerted authorities, police said.
