Week and a half away from signing day..29 commits so far but 4 are JUCOS and 2 are early HS graduates all of whom are on campus already, those six will count towards the '14 class..so officially there are 23 commits for this '15 class..only two spots left to fill the allotted 25 spots.

It's implied, but what an embarrassment that was. Good thing UTSA isn't high profile enough for that to have really gone viral.
Well it's not like that comes up on a background check. Rice and Texas State offered him too, he just happened to choose us.
UTSA dropped him as soon as the news came out so not sure how that can be considered an embarrassment.

You're right. Which explains why Texas is in a good position to finish strong even coming off of a 6-7 season. But still, I expected Baylor to get a little bit bigger boost despite their bowl game loss.

Yeah, seems like it should be that way but if you look at the past ten+ years of recruiting, it's usually always the same programs in the same spots plus/minus 7-8 spots, year in year out.
Baylor has still come a long way though overall.
I'm sure Baylor doesn't make their evaluations based on stars. There's plenty of quality players that are overlooked by the star system. Ratley was 'only' a two star when he committed to UTSA, left for Tech, and eventually ended up at A&M.

According to Inside Runner Sports, former Texas Longhorn commit Keivon Ramsey reached out to UTSA this week. Ramsey is a three star safety from Judson.
True, being a huge grade risk was the only reason he was committed to us.
Ramsey would be a nice get. Along with Jupe and Godfrey that'd be a nice group of quality, home grown safeties tbh.
What's the story with Ramsey anyway? Was his UT offer taken away and why aren't the other P5 team who had offered jumping on him?

I've read Ramsey has maturity and attitude issues. He has not been enrolled in Judson HS for months now and is said to be attending a private academy somewhere around San Antonio. His UT commitment was not honored or dropped due to some undisclosed issues. I know this because him and Jaylon Lane (forced to decommit from OSU due to criminal charges) both reached out to Texas State recently. The coaching staff doesn't look to be interested.

They won in shootouts and lost Heinecke to graduation though.
Not that anybody will be a cupcake for us considering the amount of players we lost to graduation but I wouldn't necessarily call ODU a tough match-up either. As far as cross division match-ups go, we got off pretty easy by drawing them and Charlotte. For comparison UNT got vs MT, @ Marshall and @ WKU for their cross division games.

Who is considered the favorite at this time to play QB for UTSA next season?
Unless they get a Summer transfer Blake Bogenschutz has the edge but it will be an open competition according to the coaches. Jaylon Henderson is a true freshman that is already enrolled this Spring. Manny Harris just signed his letter of intent. Either way it will be a freshman, for better or for worse.
Austin Robinson filled in when Carter and Bogenschutz went down last season but it seems like the staff is encouraging him to switch to TE/WR.
