The Spurs equipment manager said that Manu switched back to his old shoes because he needed something tougher. He was wearing Lebron 10s last year, but the guy (don't recall his name) said that Manu kept popping the air bubbles in those. He said Manu is very hard on his shoes and they tend to rip up on him. Bottom line is, he's hard on any shoe, so I wouldn't go blaming these shoes specifically.

Nike Factories in Argentina don't do basketball shoes, only Football t shirts. I have "AIR PRO TEMPO MANU" (from 2006 I think) and they were made in Taiwan.
